Hit the tail down and as soon as you feel it touching the ground, slide your front foot towards the nose of the board. Try and find a certain rhythm towards it, makes it easier.

I understand what you mean, but I found that it was the foot positioning and technique that was holding me back, so I tried learning to Ollie and took me months and I still never had it, I was doing it all wrong so gave up, this weekend I had another go and I found that you need to have you foot right on the top of the tail, the balls of your foot balance on the tip and your front foot is either behind the bolts at the front or further back up to you. It's all one motion so you bend and as you come up pop and slide. I found that doing it rolling helped and then tried doing it faster and worked. I can kind of do it now I think but I busted up my leg bad and can't even walk but can't wait to get back out XD

AntonzzH also when you pop and flick try to bring your knees up higher like your trying to hit your chestn it helps with landing alot
@bakon3217 жыл бұрын
I second everything this guy said. kicking out leads to bigger pop too. if you kick out with your ollies(and always be sure to jump) you'll get higher off. but you need to commit because your back foot will catch it and level it out in the air.

For anyone who is watching this and struggling in skateboarding, an ollie is all about using your jump to kick the board by popping it, and then sliding your foot up the board, all while jumping. Now also make sure you're bringing your backfoot up as well. Then landing is the last part, it's harder to do while moving though.
