I finally got to skate a street league skatepark and wanted to share my experience and thoughts about street league skateparks if they are better than normal skateparks. When street league came to salt lake the utah sports commission built this street league skatepark to be left behind as a tf for utah skaters. The street league skatepark is surprisingly hard to skate. As it is designed for a contest they packed a lot of features into a small skatepark. So are street league skateparks better than normal skateparks? Absolutely yes but they do have their qwerks but honestly I wouldn't complain if this park was my local. I hope more street league skateparks get left behind for the public in the future because it is such a cool experience to skate the same street league skatepark you watch your favorite pros skating.
WHAT IS YOUR DREAM SKATE SPOT on a deserted island? If you had to pick one skate spot or obstacle to skate on a deserted island for the rest of your life what skate spot or obstacle would you choose? If i had to choose a skate spot or obstacle I'd choose a long 20 ft flat rail like at the berrics. The main thing is my dream skate spot has to be something I wouldn't get tired of. What would you choose?
I've know how to Nollie BS 360 for a while but I've never had the kevin romar secrets to doing it on anything other than flat ground. In this video I learn how to nollie bs 360 out of a bank and up a step up using Kevin romar secrets. The other secret to learning how to nollie bs 360 like kevin romar is lifting your back leg first and then your front leg second and crouching in mid air to hold the board stuck to your feet while your shoulders rotate the nollie bs 360 all the way around. The Ishod Wair Twin Tail is by far my favorite board I've skated. But how does it compare to a $30 amazon twin tail. I love the Ishod wair twin tail has such an amazing shape but is twice as expensive as the $30 amazon twin tail. So is the ishod wair twin tail worth the higher price tag or can you get a similar experience with the $30 amazon twin tail. In this video I tramp board with my ishod wair twin tail and then get a session on the $30 amazon twin tail. The jury is still out but I'm hoping I like this $30 amazon twin tail can compare to the ishod wair twin tail.

303 skateboards have the Ishod twin for $57 and Tactics has the crob twin for $54. You can get free shipping is you order from 303 through parade world. I tried to skate a quasi after the ishod tt and I missed having two tails and not worrying about which way my board was facing. Had to get a couple of Ishod and crob twins before they sell out.

As someone whose ridden both the Powell Flight Deck and the Santa Cruz VX the way the layer their technology is a little different. The flight deck has thinner layers on the top ply and the second to last ply while the VX has a thicker top ply and a barely noticeable thinner ply on the second to the last. Along with that since you ride Indy's I think you might like the steepness of the kicks and the concave but the nose and tail are definitely on the pointier side. I would recommend looking for the Mario McCoy twin tip VX as you mentioned you like that style of board.

i also picked up a roberts twin chunk. it leans more of a twin nose, but technically a hybrid. skated it a little and its awesome! gonna go on my first full sesh in the mornin

I’m so hyped on this twin nose/tail find! Keep us posted on your thoughts as you skate. I have rough streets outside my house and I chew up boards about every 4-5 weeks. I got 4 kids so park skating does not happen. If I can find a solid twin deck for $25-$30… Game changer for me. Thanks for sharing.

I want to try a Hockey deck at some point for that big nose feel I hear they have. I tried one of those Santa Cruz tapered decks and it just felt weird. Like there was too little nose and tail. At least on an 8.25”. Maybe would have liked it if I had gotten one that was an 8.5”.

I bought the 8.5 Ishod but I moved up truck sizes before I got to skating it. I gave it to my homie as a gift and he loves it. Dream board specs would be a size run of POPSICLE (& twintail) above 9. Pretty much everything over a 9.0 is shaped. Various wheelbases would be cool too. 9.5 twin popsicle with my Indy 169 hollows is the dream. I currently have a Heroin 9.25 egg shaped twin but idk if I love the pointy kicks.

My favorite board shape is the Maurio McCoys 8.25VX twin tail. I’ve been riding this shape for over a year. It all started because I feel in love with the Real Ishod but it would get soggy after a month.

Ive skated the flight and the VX now. I like the stiffer board feel of the VX. My flight deck lasted for 4 months and only changed it out because of razor tail. Soggy feel from the start, but i'm a board breaker so if i cant get a VX ill get a flight.

8.25, medium to high concave, 7” nose, 6.75” tail. I’m used to shorter tails, but razor tail is real. Nose/tail not tapered, but not square. Somewhere in between tapered and square, but a lot closer to square. Not too steep nose/tail, but somewhat steep for pop. I just don’t want the nose too steep because I get nollie ghost pop.
