When I was a teen I would ride my decks for the longest since I couldn't afford new decks. Now that I have a job I don't have that much time to skate, the decks last me longer and I can replace them often due to cash inflow. So I change decks every month or so and give my old one(which is still very usable) to my brother or leave it at my local skatepark so anyone can grab it.

Tip: buy a cheap little bottle of Loctite liquid glue and when you get a little dent or crack in your nose or tail, drip in a little of the glue between sessions to help keep the moisture out and maintain solidity, pop, structural integrity. I think it's totally worth it for the $5 bottle of glue to extend the life of your board by up to 4 weeks.

When I was in Cuba where there are no places to buy boards locally, kids would use a piece of plywood to connect two parts of a snapped board together. I also saw people skating boards without noses. As a result, Cuban skaters almost never kick out on tricks because it's difficult to get a new board if yours breaks. It really makes you appreciate how accessible boards are here.

only replace when it breaks in half. as for the nose and tail grinding away. get wood putty. no joke use putty and a putty knife to get back what you ground off.and use calking or some type of glue to put the split pieces back together with a clamp. these things will work and you still have a usable board.

Good advice to young kids who love skateboarding but can't afford to buy a fresh Deck every month or so would be this; try to save your money whatever allowence you might receive, sacrifice cool graphics prints 50-60$ for a plaine blank deck around 25-30$ you can have the same nice concave deck and pop for about half the price. So every month 1/2 get a blank and keep fresh pop.

Is it good With raiser tail and 4 chips for skating around 4 months of skaiting 2 hours a day a little bit street but most skatepark or shoud i get a new one
@tacticsboardshop3 жыл бұрын
There's no set amount of time a board should last because there's so many factors and things that can happen when you're skating. Some people destroy a board in a day, and some people have decks that last a year because they only skate smooth skateparks. But with that said, if you're skating street everyday for a few hours, 4 months is a long time for a deck to last in those conditions. As far as 'if you should get a new one or not', that's on you to determine if the board is hindering your skating or not. 👍 - Tim

Hi again Tim! I just wanna know, how long was your journey to tre flip? Regards, Hugo Haavel
@tacticsboardshop4 жыл бұрын
It's been a long time, but I don't really remember having a long arduous learning process for tre flips. I feel like it only took a couple days of trying. I remember my first tre flip was VERY ugly and only flipped about 270 degrees 😄. I also remember having a hard time rotating the board the full 360, but that was mostly because I was short and didn't have the leg strength to get the board around. One of the most important things is having a commitment mindset. When you learn how to flip the board and keep it under your torso at the same time, you need to have confidence and faith that you're going to flip it correctly before you can commit. Expect the board to flip and be ready to land on it when it does. If you commit to most tries, you may end up falling a bit more, but you'll also end up landing a lot more tricks. Good luck on your tre flip quest! 🙌 - Tim
@fishndive72274 жыл бұрын
@@tacticsboardshop Hi! Thanks, and one more question - does bigger wheels actually make it so hard to do tricks? Cheers!
@tacticsboardshop4 жыл бұрын
@@fishndive7227 It does for flip tricks once you get beyond a certain size. Once you start to getting into the bigger sizes above 56mm, they start getting heavier (especially cruiser wheels) and they also make the pop steeper and steeper. If you have 60mm wheels, your board will be taller and have a steeper angle of pop, which can make flip tricks more difficult. Obviously flip tricks are still fully doable with bigger wheels, but it takes more effort and and a higher jump to pop the board and give it enough time to flip. Bigger wheels are better for transition skating though because they're faster and keep your speed better. Usually skaters who like technical types of skating stick to the 50-54mm range and transition skaters use wheels in the 54-60mm range. Wheels above 60mm start the make the pop ultra steep to where flip tricks get really hard. But long story short, it all comes down to personal preference and what you're used to. ✌ - Tim
