I was at Fox Plaza in when I visited LA in 2015. Also checked out the Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street and Termintor locations. BTW: the intercontinental hotel BEHIND Fox Plaza is the same hotel that was used in Lethal Weapon 2 when Riggs/Mel Gibson fells out the hotel window with the baddy and landsin the pool. You can see Nakatomi Plaza in the background of that scene

I worked in that building for 3 years on the 32nd and 33rd floor (the floors where the explosion was at in the movie). It is the Fox Plaza which is right next to the 20th Century studio. The building is shaped as a star, hence Avenue of the Star, a bit odd for a building office from the inside. This is in Century City in Los Angeles and this building is next to two of biggest talent agencies in the US. Fun fact, he could of double this episode as the on location for HBO's Entourage where Ari Gold's talent agency office was at.

I’d love to go inside. How was it odd? Just curious

@@BeyondtheBacklot While you replied , I edited my comment to add that you walked past the CAA building which was the location they used for Ari Gold's office in Entourage. The building, looking from the outside with the kind of tinted glass windows - you can't really see much that it is a shaped for a star. Once in the operating offices, you could clearly see and feel the sharp angles of the star shaped. What I meant by odd is that you can't really maximize the individual offices (fitting furnitures and desk) to the best compared to your typical rectangle shaped office buildings. If I recalled I think half or more of the building is occupy by the 20th Century studio's staff (their main corporate office) and the rest is leased out to other companies. Funny thing when I worked there, one person had the Die Hard poster framed on the wall to showcase the exact spot of the location where it blew up.

Just because a movie is set during Christmas does not make it a Christmas movie. "Die Hard" is NOT a Christmas movie. The holiday was not vital to the plot. The events could have taken place at anytime during the year and not lost their impact. Conversely, a movie like "A Christmas Carol" or hundreds of other films could only take place at Christmas time. Don't get me wrong, I love "Die Hard", it's just not a Christmas movie.
@curtistempleton46694 жыл бұрын
BOOOOOOO THIS man! ;) Half the soundtrack are Christmas songs. Christmas shapes the entire context of the film..a company Christmas party brings him to the building.
@jediknightjairinaiki5604 жыл бұрын
@@curtistempleton4669 True, but as I stated, anything could have brought him to the party. Holly being promoted, Holly retiring, Holly landing the largest account in company history, the anniversary of the founding of the company. As far as the music, a Christmas song does not a movie make.
