Lockdown in New Zealand (Mount Maunganui)

Lockdown in New Zealand (Mount Maunganui) has closed all retailers, cafes and pubs. The streets are quiet, only essential services are operating. Over the past few weeks of our Lockdown in New Zealand, I took to the streets to film the scenes we may never see again in our life time. Normally the streets are crowded, the cafes busy with hundreds of tourists from the cruise ships walking the streets. No more cruise ships, too risky. The Lockdown in New Zealand is designed to save lives, to stop the Covid-19 virus from spreading.

This town had on average 2 to 3 cruise liners a month dock at its port. All gone now. Most of our covid-19 ttansmissions came from overseas. Lockdown saved lives, it didnt kill the town it saved it to thrive again but not today.
