Man, just stumbled across your videos as I’ve recently picked up the 645 super. Wish there was more!! Great shots, super chilled and just really nice to watch. 👏🏼

When I got my first M645 in 1978, I stole it for $360, complete and it had no light meter. I used the "Sunny 16" rule and I got great shots. All of the M645 series cameras, which I have except for the M645E, is great to shoot. Nice work, keep it up.

My Mamiya 645 1000s has a self timer. Its a small lever on the front left that you pull down.

You would like an old chimney prism... I have one one my Zenza... I can spot a hair on a biscuit...

yeah they're the best, I got a chimney finder with my RB67 and its amazing, even more so on such a bright day
@Lukewillcreate3 жыл бұрын
Do they make a chimney prism for a mamiya? It is basically a vertical viewfinder?

I'm yelling it internally to myself the whole time. Inside my head in those moments prolly sounds like shaking a paint can.

What do you use to secure the mamiya 645 super on a tripod? My mamiya has a 3/8 inch thread on the bottom and I can't fit it on my tripod that's 1/4 inch
@Lukewillcreate4 жыл бұрын
My tripod has a 3/8 screw. Most of my plates have 3/8 or my video heads have both.

Its a Loupe. You can get them a on a bunch of places online. Mine is a 5x. A 6x would be perfect and a 10x would be too powerful. Glad you're enjoying the content. I'm planning on making more but I've been thrown off because my dog died recently so I have been in a very creative headspace.

Awesome video! Quick question. What's the purpose of removing the dark slide?
@Lukewillcreate4 жыл бұрын
My camera tends to leak light into the film back. If I keep my darkslide in between shots it prevents the light leaks a bit.

The yellow selection button on the shutter it's the timer in my 645 pro, bet it's the same for the super
@Lukewillcreate4 жыл бұрын
Imma try this the next time I'm out.
@Lukewillcreate4 жыл бұрын
Turns out the yellow is for multiple exposures. It let's the switch reset to fire again.
@stonepillowband4 жыл бұрын
My multiple it's in a lateral switch in the right side
@Lukewillcreate4 жыл бұрын
@@stonepillowband I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking straight. The yellow switch on the front end is for using the camera when the battery is dead. Limits the shutter to 1/60.

Get a sekonic 308x off eBay for around $150. Accurate, small and easy. Then use the WLVF

@@Lukewillcreate hope it works out for you. I use it pretty much exclusively on aperture priority. Didn’t take too long for me to figure out when’s best to use the incident vs reflective metering.

I'm going to make a suggestion here Luke...before going out on a shoot... do about a 4 shot injection of 5 hour energy. Pepping it up a bit might be a help here. I do agree that a loupe on the ground glass is a great idea!!!
