Frustrating as a Nuggets fan but I dont necessarily think its only about being cheap. I think Booth is more worried about the limitations the 2nd apron comes with. If they went into it with KCP they're basically locked into this lineup without the ability to aggregate salaries in trades, sign anyone on the buyout market, and can only sign players to the vet minimum. And all that is before the hoops come next year with AG. I think Booth not only really believes in Braun but also wanted to keep his trading flexibility more open for this season. Again I'm not happy about it as a long time die hard fan of the team that has fallen in love with that starting lineup but that's the only way I can see why he did it with any logic.

Yeah he's totally wrong even mentioning Bruce Brown at all. If anything players will start to see the pattern of play with Jokic = get paid. The new CBA is designed exactly for this reason - it's much harder to keep good lineups together.
