That’s my thoughts as well. He hired Allen but refused to fire him. Mrs. Benson had to fire him herself which just because he defied her he should have been fired as well. Then when he said in an interview that he didn’t think Allen should have been fired because he’s still a very good coach to me was Mickey trying to embarrass Mrs. Benson. It actually made him look even stupider because everyone knows Dennis Allen never was and never will be even a decent HC.

I want to agree with you, but reading that raised a HUGE red flag. Mickie Loomis is entirely too comfortable here. This is not what you want as a franchise. People get fired very quickly in the NFL. Maybe too quickly, but there is a flip side to that coin. You cannot allow a GM to be this comfortable with this many failures. Also, It's looking more and more like it was Sean Payton having the success, while Loomis went for the ride. The Saints organization is entirely too close.

I just want to say that Mickey Loomis, Dennis Allen, and Jeff Ireland ought to be proud and thank God everyday for their involvement in the drafting and development of Trey Hendrickson, helping turn him into the true defensive force that he is in the NFL, only to kick him to the curb and give him more motivation to excel. The saints situation with Loomis reminds me of the panthers with their owner or the Jets owner, definitely a nightmare scenario, but Loomis is a figurehead, Jeff Ireland is more responsible for who the team drafts every year and Loomis probably is more responsible for paying these useless aging players Like Cam Jordan etc .
