Dude, one of the funnest things about living uptown in new orleans is those times when randomly driving down st charles you find him in his cart somewhere on the side of the road. I pull over almost every time. I literally keep 1 dollar bills in the car just for this.

Nice, we just got back from a vacation there. One of the days, we went to the zoo; everyone was excited to see the animals, but I was stoked for the Roman's cart! Wish we had time to meet the man himself, the candy was awesome, even brought a couple sticks back to missouri!

I had the chance to visit New Orleans last week, sadly I couldn't find the Roman's Chewing Candy Cart, however I was still able to get the candy at Royal Praline Co in Royal street. Royal Praline has two locations, one on Royal and the other on Decatur street, both of which stocks Roman's Chewing Candy. I got all 3 flavors and tried each one individually at first, then tried them Neapolitan style, and I liked Vanilla the best, though Strawberry came close second. The Chocolate was good too, but when combined with all three flavors its an amazing experience. One thing I regret is not finding was their Candy Rum. I hear they also make candy rum in the same three flavors, but I couldn't find it at the Rouses I looked in, it was on my way back home, so I didn't have time to check any other grocers that is supposed to stock their rum.

I have said many times that a true craftsman/expert/professional makes there skill look like there's nothing to it , but you'd be hard pressed to keep up. He's a great example he may not be able to tell you exact specs on the recipe but I bet he's consistent and if he says the pieces are 15" there spot on... In 5 min I'd be burned, covered in coloring and look like I generally lost a fight with the candy on the hook.😉 Him, Greg, and the folks at Hercules are all talented professionals in a world that rarely values them properly.

Ordered my candy over 3weeks now still haven’t shipped if your going to buy candy from them your going to have a long wait. I live in Florida and I’m waiting
@LoftyPursuits3 жыл бұрын
We keep the current estimated ship time on the front page of our website. It's not perfect but it's pretty accurate on the day that you ordered. If you ordered a 3 weeks ago I believe it said 10 to 17 days to ship. I'm sorry it's taking so long but when we get backed up we get backed up at his handmade candy. We try to give as much information about ship time as possible. This month we got four times the number of orders of last month and we're catching up as fast as we can and we're producing candy pasture than we ever have. Sadly we're still behind I can only hope our candy is good enough to be worth the wait. We make our candy within a week or two when it's shipped to make sure it's fresh and that means we can't keep a large inventory and stock at any given point quality is more important than speed we feel. Last month I turn around time was 24 hours.
