Surviving Ringworm

Күн бұрын

After weeks sweating and sleeping well, one dufus realized just how huge a project this is for one person to undertake while living in a tent in the forest. Over 20 trees had to be taken down to clear the area and provide logs for the frame and wood for the saw mill. The two Stihl chainsaws got little rest during this build! And as always the Granberg small log mill puts up no objections to being used hard week after week making cedar and pine deck boards.
Instead of waiting until the structure is complete later this winter or even next summer, this building project video will come out in two parts.
To celebrate phase one of the giant, log, screened in deck being completed, out came the Cordoba classical guitar for a little Clair de Lune by Debussy to accompany some drone footage of the gorgeous fall foliage in Northern Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
If you are interested in seeing the whole Gazebo project, here is a link to the playlist:

OK, you have WOWED me again with that opening shot, even if it's not yours (could be though)...& I am a philosopher at heart, & Einstein has some of my favorite quotes & the one you quoted at the beginning of your video is one of my favorites of his; so absolutely true & I never thought I would be that, I am. Thanks for watching! Certainly if I wanted this to last for a very long time, the wood would need to be treated. Either pressure treated or with sealer rolled on. Ideally both. I think the boards that are cedar will last quite a while but the pine, probably not. Problem is that this wood came right out of the trees so probably can’t be sealed until it dries for a year.
