This is the first time I’ve watched your videos and love the way you show everything as you are doing it. A lot of people don’t take the time for all that. Thank you! I make the log cabin block using 3 inch middle and 2 1/2” strips, they come out great also. And I’ve made half of block assorted whites and the other side in prints. I love that look too because you can turn blocks around and get different looks. Please do a bear claw block for me so I can see what it looks like and how it’s made. Also like the courthouse steps blocks.

I’m new to quilting and even by following your instructions, which are perfect by the way, my final square was all wonky and didn’t end up with a 12x12, but rather 11 1/4 x 11 1/4. My first square was about 6x6. And I’m using a 1/4 in. Foot, so no idea what i did wrong. I don’t want to give up though, I’ll try and make my second square better than the first

What size center would be used if you had 1 1/2 in strips ?
@NationalQuiltersCircle6 жыл бұрын
HI, the fun part of this scrappy technique is that you don't have to have an exact measurement for your center or your strips. Simply start with the center size of your choice and then add your strips around it.
