A very good idea with the tires as a shelf for the dumbbells. Years ago we built a deadlift platform out of thick boards. After every lifting workout, residents and neighbors complained about the humming noise. The idea then came to place old car tires under the platform to cushion the impact. It worked and the neighborhood became friendlier :-) Greetings Uwe

Nice one will definitely have to get one of these logs to train with at home. I always struggled with that lift. I'm loving thick handled one arm dumbells on my heavy day.
