I don’t think I’ve used the standard bars I’ve got much at all in the last 12months Col and funny enough touch wood I’ve not had any elbow problems 💪

Good training Col, I'm a big fan of the thick bars and dumbbell. They certainly provide an alternative training challenge.

You're right Robin a static hold with a weight much easier on the grip than pulling the weight 💪🏻

Nice one Col. Adapt, improvise and overcome. I suffered with golfers elbow for ages and it wasnt pleasent. At least you have some good options for now.

@@cols-muscle-power I was taking creatine but I found I was holding weight on my chest and stomach,I went from 15st 5 to 16st 9,so now trying to lose some weight Its tough mate😄👍

I’ve been doing his training program from his book “Strongman: The Doug Hepburn Story” for a year and a half now, but only a minimized version it… And even my meager version is tough as nails. I guess weightlifters in the fifties were built different or something. lol

@@cols-muscle-power Absolutely. In less than two years (so far), my clean pull went from 145 pounds for less than six reps into what I have now, which is 235 pounds for an easy five reps. My squat is literally 315 pounds for ten reps right now.
