Scales: a lot of scale operators prefer you let the load in front of you clear the scale before you move onto the platform. Got one big tip for you Bruce: Get rid of that “private not for hire” decal, the DOT loves to see those, the first thing they think is: air brakes, over 26k gross better pull him over. There’s nothing wrong with running outlaw a little, just don’t draw attention to yourself. Buy an old IFTA sticker off another trucker to put in the window, take all the signage off the truck and run it. all the DMV’s are closed for corona anyway so that’s a good excuse.
@menow44804 жыл бұрын
Are you really expecting him to trade something legal for something illegal. Switching paperwork to another vehicle is a felony in most states. Running privatized is totally legal and dot cant do shit except watch him go by and wave. My lawyer and I will put money on it if your a wagering man!?!?
@J.R.in_WV4 жыл бұрын
me now He’s already running illegal, the truck is legal but he’s not legal to drive it. An IFTA sticker shows you’ve paid your road use fuel tax and is one of the first things a cop will look for when you roll past. Here where I live (West Virginia) if you get caught driving a CMV (which this is, the law is VERY clear on that) without a CDL you lose the opportunity to get a CDL for 6 months and are fined $500. If you get caught twice, you can NEVER get a CDL and you pay a fine. If you get caught 3 times you lose your regular license and your cdl and there is a possible (though rarely imposed) jail sentence. I know somebody it happened to, he though saying his truck was “private” was ok. On his third strike he was hauling a load of fill dirt and got stopped pulling out of the job site. He tried to say it was his own dirt, The cop checked on who the contractor and land owner was and neither was him.
@menow44804 жыл бұрын
@@J.R.in_WV You need to first go back to learning what commercial commodities and privatized vehicle use are. And just because it has air brakes doesnt make it commercial. me now let’s see your trucks then, your channel has no content. I run an 89 paystar 5000 every day, If I had to bet on who’s a “KZbin wannabe trucker” it would be you. Also go to your state’s DMV and see what requires a cdl, I’ve got the WV book right here in front of me and it states very clearly if it’s got air brakes, you need a CDL to drive it. Also if it’s over 26,000 GVW you need a CDL. Maybe your state is different, but I doubt it.

Great to see blue collar on a logging trailer looked great on that trailer . Typical sawmill mud up to ur knees . Sorry u lost ur mud flaps . Just have to pop them back on higher up so u dont lose them again . The timber job soon shows any weaknesses in a truck or equipment u did great . Best job in the world on the timber . All the best bruce .

You know, Bruce. Those mudflaps probably wouldn't have been torn off if you didn't leave them so long that they would be dragging on the ground. You can still use them if you trim off the old mounting holes, drill new holes in the flaps and remount them.

Hey Bruce one driver to another you need to put your tag on the front of the truck and put some old mud flaps on the headache rack so you don't hear the chains and binders hitting the headache rack and do you have your regular cdl license yet cause if you get caught driving blue collar with out your cdl that's like driving with out a license and a shout out to the camera lady she does a very good job and so do you

@@ishootitarw it bypasses to a certain extent. 1. you need a ranch or farm to classify it as farm use as under law "Farm trucks, tractors, and other vehicles are classified as vehicles that are designed solely for farm use. To say that a truck or other vehicle is used as a farm truck, it must be used on or around the farm property. And it can only be used to complete farm-related tasks such as transporting feed for the animals, hauling fertilizer, grass, hay, or to transport equipment for repairs." Log hauling is commercial use and not under the FL satute 581.011 2. Exempt for 150miles of home farm or state lines. Thereafter is CDL requirements and log books. FL statute 322.53 also 316.302 3. The flatbed mid truck is not farm use and is possibly over height and it is over width FL Statute 316.515 If you want to get technical, look at FL Statute 316.293 "noise levels".

@@ishootitarw im not in Florida either. I just know the laws and a simple google search will provide the statutes for each state. Im in tx and its pretty much the same here as well for the laws. I do not own a semi, but know many farmers that do. Many of which had to have their trucks DOT registered because of the distances they travel for products crossing state lines. Also, its just easier to be DOT compliance then deal with anything else.
