Yeah sugar/glucose allows for increase insulin release. And then insulin activates the H+/K+ ATPase Pump, which allows for potassium to get into the cells. That’s why people who don’t take insulin can end up getting arrhythmias due to hypokalemia

I was working 12+ hour shifts at our local paper mill, in the "paper machine" department where the temperature gets so insanely hot that you're not allowed to be in certain areas for more than a few minutes, pallets of bottled water are casually placed all around the facility. They drop off truckloads of pallets of bottled water twice a week. I would drink multiple gallons of water per day but at night time laying down in bed I'd get the most intense and painful muscle cramps in my legs. I tried every single electrolyte product I could find, the ONLY product that worked and that I continued to use while working in the concrete feild, and still use today is Liquid IV. The shit is amazing 💯

I've been boxing for a couple of weeks now, and sometimes do 2 back to back 45 minute sessions. By the end of the second session I am SOAKED in sweat. I have done this workout with plain water, and a 64oz canteen with half a liquid IV packet for hydration. The difference is night and day. I will feel sluggish and gassed by the second session with only water, but on liquid IV, I sweat more but can work at a higher level of intensity throughout all 90 minutes. I notice I move around more, recover between rounds faster, am not sluggish, and actually can walk away without feeling wiped out! Definitely recommend, I use half a packet per 64oz of water because 1. It is expensive (but effective) and also the sugar content, which isnt even that bad all things considered. Also great for when you're hungover, I love that stuff!

I can personally vouch for Liquid IV, I'm a construction worker in pheonix Arizona, this summer we had an ambient air temperature of 128.8F° (which I believe is 51C°). Anything over 115F°, you're sweating bullets as soon as you go outside. The buildings I work in are usually insulated, but with no Air Con, so they add upwards of 40° to how hot it is. For 9 hours a day, I was dripping sweat doing physically demanding shit in 150F°+ for weeks. I'm convinced I would have had to take even more breaks, or be dead without Liquid IV (I wish I was a paid promoter, this is just my story though).

I also sweat more sodium than most people. I have started experimenting with formulating my own formula of carb + sodium drinks specific to my body. i can ride longer and almost doubled my distance and speed. i no longer cramp. --On days I don't workout i hit my macros and vitamin goals . on medium to high intensity days I can hit 4300mg sodium and have my best Blood pressure reading the next day----i recover better and my blood work is going in the right direction.

Name 1 thing Logan has ever done that wasn’t just shamelessly promoting whatever the biggest profit opportunity is available to him, before rug pulling or letting it die in a field.

@Roger Vieira all that synthetic stuff is garbage. not to sound all, “back in my day!” but i’m 26 and grew up in rural tennessee eating food that came from my granddaddy’s backyard or food that came from the receiving end of a rifle barrel. people just need to drink water and eat normal food.

You can of course get a low calorie version of Gatorade, or split the difference and get g2. I vary it depending on intention… gym I go with lower calorie - or water lol. Mountaineering…. I’ll take very calorie I can get.
