I'm from Nashville, TN and I've had people say they're surprised my accent isn't thicker. And I met someone once who said she was taken aback by nobody wearing cowboy boots or cowboy hats when she came to visit. I think people assume that one kind of person makes up for the entire population of a place. Which may be why she said that. To me, he looks like a lot of the guys I went to high school with. And we had less than 800 kids at the school it was so small.
