It may be a fan film in the sense that it’s a non-commercial, non-licenced short movie made from the director’s pocket budget, but the team is made of industry professionals. The director has years of experience doing fight choreography on series, like the Witcher, and made a bunch of short actions movies. I’m glad he finally gets the attention he deserves because I truly believe he is one of the best action comedy director of our generation (although his comedy talent isn’t shown here) can’t wait until he directs his first feature length.

I would love it but I would want a little more depth of character- as brutal as he is and clearly not a sympathetic character, we would need a story that allows an arch and a way for this character to be redeemed. I want to root for him for mire reason than just because he's a bad-ass. I want to care about him too. That can come in a full-length film.

When looking at their channel. It looks like they have experience in the action background more so then anything else and so I would love to see if their talents could get picked up for action and stunt choreography. I wish people would celebrate the fan film more than bash on other stuff though which is what I feel feel like I’m seeing a lot of.

Some people always have to tear things down, no matter what. It doesn’t matter how amazing something is, there’s always going to be some group of varying size that shits on it just because they can and to go against “popular” opinion, or just troll people. There’s definitely very very little to pick on with this fan film. Maybe the claws looking modern but being cut by an axe and Magneto’s acting was just ok. For me, I have zero complaints. I’d rather praise the hell out of it and enjoy it, be happy we were gifted something that good, than nitpick and be negative about anything.

@@clonexx I appreciate your candid response to this because I think you touched on a lot of good points. At the end of the day, it is a fan film, and I feel appreciating it for its quality given it’s a fan film is the best thing we can do. Like for me I thought the acting here was not good and some of the dialogue is a bit iffy. Other than that, the point of this film was to show the great action choreography. I was impressed and for people to bring down other films that people have made because they think it looks lesser than this makes no sense to me. I’ve seen great fights the actual film industry, and I’ve seen great fights be done in the fan film industry. We have to be able to come together together and celebrate stuff without having to tear other things down.

Amazing. We know very little about Thomas Logan (Wolverine's father) that if the creators told us this is an ancestor to Thomas Logan it's totally believable. As far as the metal claws it's totally possible Logan, knowing he has a healing factor, that he could have smelted iron and coated his bone claws in it.

but the metal around his claws is supposed to be indestructible (adamantium) , not just any metal a viking would use for his armor . My theory is that Eric did it to him somehow in this version, since he can manipulate all metals...hope they show more of this I love the viking aesthetics tied to this story .

I saw this before you guys reacted to it and it is, BY FAR, the best fan film I’ve seen. It seems professional, so they’re either incredibly talented amateurs or they’re a group of people who worked in the industry that just got together to make a short film they wanted to make. The choreography was insane, the fight was so well done and even the gore looked great. As for the claws, one of his claws got severed in half by an axe, so they’re definitely not made of metal. I don’t know what the decision was to make the aesthetic look like the modern claws, but they were definitely a lot softer than just steel, let alone “adamantium”. I personally was really disappointed with the way his bone claws looked in Wolverine Origins, so I definitely prefer them to look like this even if they want to play them off as not being made of metal. Maybe they just went with it because it’s his iconic look and that’s what they wanted, who knows. My point is that it didn’t ruin anything for me whatsoever, the entire thing was killer and they deserve every single bit of exposure and praise they get.
