not sure if this may be helpful to know but if you hit diamond then 7 you get the logarithm. I think you can also find the log in the math menu but that takes longer

+Unknown You can also hit the diamond and the EE key and it will show you all of the hidden diamond keys that they just didn't have room to etch on the plastic itself.

I have this calculator and doing this gives me "too many arguments"... also diamond 7 just doesn't do anything at all.

diamond 7 is kind of finicky ive found on my ti-89 but it definitely works. as for the too many arguments you might need to change your solver mode from auto to approximate. do this by pressing mode, f2, arrow down to Exact/approx, arrow right and there will be 1. auto, 2.exact, 3. approximate. Chose approximate and then press enter to save it.

Had same problem, realized it was my OS was version 3.01 and I needed to dl version 3.10 Go on ti website and dl ti connect, dl version 3.10 and then send to ti-89 titanium

you have to choose the approximate answer

what if the base is a number and NOT.... X

Then just put in that number Like for instance, log(16,2)=4 Or, log(1000)=3 to just automatically use base 10.
