Well, for some reason this feature is not working on some of my projects, though I followed your instructions to the letter. The other thing... Settings in my group of audio tracks (a drum kit I recorded) indicates "Quantized-Locked (Audio)" instead of Phase Lock.

In video 13 you mention how you don't know a way of doing a x-fade on multiple tracks at the beginning of the clip. With group editing, that will allow you to add and edit a x-fade at the beginning and end of all the tracks within the group.

Hello, one question: I recorderd an acoustic guitar with 3 mics simultaniously for 2 runs. Now I want to use the comp-tool simultaniously in all 3 tracks at the same time. Can I do this with the groups? Or is there any other or better possibility? THANKS SO MUCH for your help in advance. 🙏 klaus

really great videos. i have enjoyed them. I am very new to recording and editing live drums. i have a question concerning the secondary transients picked up by the microphones when recording. A kick or tom mic for example picks up much of the rest of the drum set while recording and can be quite loud between actual hits to the intended drum. what do you do in those instances when you want to remove the unwanted secondary drum parts that are being picked up by the mic that is intended for the kick drum keeping in mind much of for instance the snare bleeds over on the actual kick as it is hit and captured on the recording? on a side note i have been using the file editor and doing silence in between and doing db gain reduction at the beginning and towards the end of each kick transient and tom. I am eager to learn MusicTech HelpGuy. my current method is turning out pretty bad. Help please thanks, Mike Williamson

....so I didn't have live drums..so I set up a group using software instruments...however the fade tool does not work on software instruments...I didn't know..so after deleting and creating new audio tracks ... I think I found a glitch..please help....mute/solo/input all work correctly for the group......but volume and pan do not work...they only control one track...not the group....box is checked....looks good but pan and volume just won't control the entire group...

I've got a further question about grouping. Can logic group audio clips(or events)? I tried STMPE lock module, it could only stop clips moving horizontally but not vertically. If I want to lock some clips to prevent from moving or altering, how can I do?

Is there a way to look our group tracks? What I mean, for example I have a kick, snare and oh tracks, group them. On mixer, next to these tracks I want to have my drums group track, with fader, sends, aux , etc. Thanks in advance.
@Kakaxxx2229 жыл бұрын
Can you group multiple tracks just to have a better overview? when I have a lot of guitar tracks, I don't want those tracks to run through the same editing settings and effects and so on...so is there a way to just compromise the overview of the audio/midi tracks in logic?

Hey man! Im stuck with something and was wondering if you could help me out! I recorded some multitrack drums in a group, i did several takes but without the loop on and letting Logic create the comp automatically, instead i have my takes recorded side by side, one after the other. I was wondering if there is any way of creating a comp out of all these multitrack takes i have one after the other. Thank you for all these videos, they are helping me a lot! All the best!

Hi all, I am a Cubase pro 9 user and one thing in addition to what is in the video that I do, is send all the audio/midi tracks that I want in a group to 1 channel strip making a group track (before the Main stereo out) Is there a way you can do this in Logic pro X?

Hi! I have an issue. I have some groups activated but, none of them work as a group when I slide a fader, do an automation or mute a track, etc... I checked in group settings, the parameters I want to control are selectee and the groups are enabled but still they act like individual tracks. This is the first time it happens to me. If someone who reads this could help, it would be appreciated.

5:00 it says "quantize-locked (audio)" here for me instead of "phase-locked audio". does that make a difference? or is that just a new name for the same thing?

It’s the same thing. They updated the terminology in one of the updates.

That’s not what this for-If your saying your midi drums are all in one track, copy and paste each drum-hats, kicks etc. into its own midi region

While the mixer is open, go to the VIEW tab, then go to CHANNEL STRIP COMPONENTS, and make sure that GROUP is checked.
