This is still a problem on 10.7.2 but this workaround worked perfectly. Google didn’t have anything useful but this video fixed the problem in 2 minutes. Respect and major thanks!

I think I might uninstall the slate digital in which is the fresh air free plugin cause what I noticed on other projects is that when I load other free once they load just fine but with that however now is a problem and the circle just keep circling so I’m gonna try that hope it helps because I’ve been frustrated

It's not perfect as the one I uninstall that helped me resolved this issue but near there though so what I did to make it sound exact like before when I used the fresh air I just increase some gain of the compressor if another free plugin that's like a CLA alternative free which is called "LALA" and its really good for a free alternative CLA. I've been using it on all the recording sessions I've worked on to get my distrokid career started since I finally sign up to distrokid since two months ago but haven't posted anything because I've been making more beats, and lyrics to record and proud that I can't wait to release a few singles before the album cause I did my first Digital album artwork and I liked the way it came out! I'll probably let you know about it. Thanks for this issue it helped so much and I feel incredibly better. Keep up the content ☺

@@kcsounds So I figured it out. Its not enough to delete the components folder and have that respawn when Logic makes it fresh. I had to delete the whole "Plugins" folder. Otherwise Logic keeps looking for the components folder. So the solution is: Let the whole Plugins folder be respawned. But its so weird that Logic just stops working all of a sudden because of plugins. I didnt install any new ones that day....Oh well. Its fixed. Thanks so much for your video!

Hi KC and thanx for the video. I upgraded to Logic 10.6.3 but kept 13.6.2 just in case. The new upgrade was to avoid faulty plugin issues, and it made things worse. Logic won't open saying UJAM VOID is the culprit. I deleted it from the VSTs the Components the AAX and from the Ujam folder of course. Same problem, went back to 6.2 it opened two or three times, now stuck again. I do have two other things in the UJAM folder, Hanz Zimmer drums and Striiiiings...haven't been able to use them, cause no LOGIC. Had to do an fast recording with Garage Band. I'm stuck and stymmied ! Could you help KC, Thanx ! (Stuck with no Logic in France) Jason

This video does help for the future if i ever wanna install plugins. But unfortunately, the issue i currently have is not this. My situation is that I recently just figured out how to update my iMac to the current version, which is Ventura 13.0. and was stuck on Logic Pro 10.4.6 for over 2 years. Now that my iMac has updated, i recently figured out that Logic Pro also updated, but it is a separate app, i kept the old update in a zipped file incase the update just doesn't work for some reason. The update I now have 10.7.4 does not open and it is not because of the reason in the video as I had no additional plugins other than the default plugins that logic came with. The old logic is now zipped up currently and the new logic is currently in my dock bar. Is this something that can easily be fixed or will I need to repurchase logic pro again? I'm hoping that I'll be able to use to 10.7.4 update because I was stuck on a 3 year update for 2 years when I didn't even need to.

Does you Mac support Logic 10.7.4? Maybe you need an older version of Logic for it to open, this is something I had to do. I’m not exactly sure what the problem is, apart from that. Maybe try Apple support, and they should be able to help you properly. Thanks for watching

Many things skipped my mind as soon as I figured out how to update my iMac, I was so happy when I got out of an update that I was stuck on for 3 years and being 6 updates behind. As of opening the old logic update I used to have, that opens just as normal without an issue. Its just 10.7.4 that just doesn't open. It also doesn't give a reason why it won't open either, it just says that logic unexpectedly quit. I've also tried looking up other answers but they're all the same thing, something to do with new plugins. I only have ever used the default plugins that come with logic and never downloaded any new ones. I already sent a report out for apple but, I don't think they will get back to me at all honestly.

It sounds like your OSX isn’t compatible with Logic 10.7.4. Go to your Apps Store, and see if it’ll allow you to DL a compatible version

for some reason one of my logic sessions won't open, but all my other ones will. Whenever I try to open the one that doesn't work, it just shows me a window of a tremolo plug-in (from logic, not an outside plug in) that I used one an audio file in the session. That's all it shows, and whenever I click the exit button on the top left of the plug in it asks me if I want to save or not, meaning it thinks the entire session is the plug in. I am super confused because all my other sessions have no problem opening, it is just this specific one that's having trouble. The entire session is open. You just need to bring up the edit window, either by selecting from the ‘Window’ option or press cmd and 1 on your keyboard, this will open your main window

That don’t sound good. Nothing at all in Components folder? Have you tried holding cmd when Logic starts up? Also, try opening an old project. See if that works

Logic is the worst in this... I got over 2000 plugins, so this would take ages. Ableton, Bitwig, FlStudio work without a problem. Hopefully one day apple takes care about this. Simply a no go for the native app to have such problems.

@@kcsounds Must be the latest; when I put all plugins out of the folder it works; so it must be a conflict but as I mostly use Ableton I just need it to open projects from collaborators; therefore its ok. Anyway, I hope they can sort it out one day as it's great to be able to sometimes work in a different daw.
