Hi Ravish, can you pls make a video on your journey of DevOps? What tools we need to learn before a devops interview, what is your current CTC... So that we can have an idea on how much scope we have in devops...

Hi, you didn't cover operational support part.Are you not on some sort of roster for ops support for critical prod systems?Though understand that it may not be daily task, do you work outside office hours or week ends in those cases?
@LogicOpsLab2 жыл бұрын
Great point! But, no! I am not on any support. The only support I provide is when the system goes haywire or there is a production bug. We already have a few strategies to help us tackle these situations. Once in a while on weekends if the project needs we are always there to provide the support but if it is every weekend then it is better to see why it needs support every weekend and see if you can fix it permanently.

Bhaiya I'm a b. Com graduate completed MBA last year currently doing job in MNC want to switch as a devops engineer I have started learning it from various sources as of now I have learned linux and git git hub should continue further or not as I'm a b. Com graduate I may not get interview call or good package but one thing is that I have strong desire to become a devops engineer so please suggest
@LogicOpsLab2 жыл бұрын
Hi, Prasanta! To be honest, there are fewer chances to get a call for a B Com graduate. But, if you can master a few tools and technologies you can always try for a job in devops. I have seen very few cases who turned their career from management to tech. But, that requires a lot of effort. But, it is possible, bleak chances, but, possible.

Does devop engineer responsible to draft any documents like BA
@LogicOpsLab Жыл бұрын
Very good question. As a DevOps Engineer it is a very good practice to document the architecture of the pipeline with the whole tech stack in it. Not just the architecture, you need to put the flow of the pipelines in the documentation. This helps people to get started if they've hoined a new team.

@LogicOpsLab2 жыл бұрын
It totally depends. In my career, I have never done a night shift. Though I have given support a few late nights, but, that's all. Also, not every company will ask you for night shifts, if they will, they will tell you before you join their team.

Indeed. It's very much possible. I suggest start learning about devops, tools, technology, and everything around. Then add any public Cloud to it. Make real time projects, they're available on my channel for free, the code is also free. Once you're confident start attending interviews and show them your work. You'd be able to make it. Do let me know if you need a roadmap.
