As a sim racer & wheelchair user, I really appreciate the design choices here. Quick-release wheel makes context-switching of my desk easier; gradient paddles are excellent (currently I’m mapping a TrackIR to a custom vJoy config - head pitch up for accel, down for brake); separate pedals help (I’ll never use them); but my personal favourite is the centre-mounted desk clamp: I have bruises on my knees from whacking the clamp knobs under each side of my G29, & the single central clamp will mitigate that. Love it! If Logi wants to send me one I’ll put it to much use 😁

You actually want the 11nm. You just set the force feedback to a strength you like then the extra headroom is nice for other setting such as when you crash or run over rumble strips. Personally, I think the majority of the racing sim crowd would not want 5nm max for sure...8 maybe but without that extra headroom the other vibration etc... effects are also limited. My Fanatec DD2 makes 25nm of torque, I only run it at about 30-40% force feedback on the base and maybe 60-70% in the game and it is amazing the detail it outputs if dialed in properly. In short you can turn down the FFB to less than peak torque but you can't turn up past peak if it's lacking.

So I have a Sim Experience wheel and the NM is not so much about how powerful the wheel is as it is the definition of what you are feeling.When you turn the feedback down you should still get the definition (curbs,rumble strips thing like that).so the more powerful the motor the more signal it can handle.You would really never run a a big motor like this all the way up in a race as your arms and hands would wear out before you even finish a race.So an example of what I am talking about is when you are in the high banks at Daytona with a G27 all you would feel is just a constant force.With a direct drive you will feel the repair patch in the track as long as the program is capable of it.The wheel doesn't get overloaded because of the tiny motor like what's in the G27 or 29 or whatever #their up too now.I am interested in the diameter of the wheel for that price point it better be a full size wheel like in a real gt race car.At that price your options are pretty wide and really need to do your research before you buy.

Logitech will most certainly do this in my eyes just because they will want to beat Thrustmaster in that market space. Couple years time we will see a cheaper product from Logitech I'm sure. I agree twith you hough, this product as it is probably won't get cheaper. If anything, inflation will make even more expensive.

I was thinking of buying the thrustmaster TS-XW.. is Logitech’s DD wheel driving experience better?
@TXGrackle2 жыл бұрын
Very excited to see what else they will come up with for this brand new ecosystem. I was really hopeful to see something like this during Logiplay and boy did they deliver. Excellent review of this new DD wheel.

Does Acc (PC) recognize the Logitech Pro Wheel in "pro wheel" mode? My wheel does not work in pro wheel mode. I have to use the G923 Compatibility mode with my pro wheel for it to work. Not sure if it's just my wheel?

With detachable pedals I'll bet someone will make a handle to attach to those pedals for a handbrake.

As a Fanatec Owner, I wish this had came out before CSL DD PRO! I started on Logitech G27 in Afghanistan on GT4! In 07. I loved racing games before that, after I Was Hooked on wheels! Built a Racing seat in Afghanistan out of 2x4, and 3/4 inch plywood! Was AMAZING! What time I had off I was there!

Don’t worry about the 5-8-11 Nm. I went from a G29 to the Fanatec csl dd, 8 was too much. After a few months, 5 felt too light so I went to the 8. Again a few months on now, and 8 starts to feel a bit light. Ffb to the max, mind. It just takes getting used to, and you’ll want more in time

Same happened to me I started with 8nM and said couldn't max anything and wondered why the hell anyone needs more, now I need more 🤣🤣

I would go Fanatec. They have a lot more experience and propably better software. The most expensive CSL DD Pro budle cost the same as that Logitech so...

There's other options besides fanatec. Also the bundle hadn't been in stock for months. Logitech seems to aim for mid-high end giving a combo in between the podium and the DD Pro.

Logitech has been making force feedback wheels since the 90's, plus they probably have the biggest spending power for R&D of any sim racing company. Logitech is a huge company, but yeah they should improve their sofeware.

Fanatec sucks compared to other manufacturers in the same price range. Camus, simagic take the cake compared to fanatec. Fanatec cheaply made and terrible customer support.
@FirssenSimracing2 жыл бұрын
@@xStaySkilledx we talking about different brands... I had only one issue with my CSR-Elite but it was previous owner fault (he don't installed washers where he should) and I got replacement part from support in less than a week. Except that still works perfect without issues at all. Cheaply made? Except rim it's all metal and solid AF so LOL. All new brands like Camus or Monza are welcome but they need time to make better software...

I've heard the mounting plate for the next level racing F-GT Elite cockpit (not the lite) doesn't add up. Is this true? Does anyone else have trouble mounting it with the drilling holes? Are you forced to only use the table clamp?

I think it is always better to have 11nm product and setup it to 5 or 6 nm, or your preference, but having a machine being capable to offer all the spectrum from 0-11nm to bring you better and precise sensations in every situation, I think it is gonna be more capable to give you the exact tone on different games also.

i think we'll have to wait a bit for Logitech to assess if this product will sell "as is" and then decide to start selling the base and the F1 wheel.

How do the mounting screw holes line up with entry-level logitech products? Is it the same as the G29? completely different? some overlap?

Bit pricey for me. I’d rather get the Moza R5 bundle for £600

Problem with the R5 bundle is that the pedals are useless, which is the single most important thing you want to upgrade

Why isn't there a wireless connection so you only have to connect power? This would make a big difference for all temporary setups and also for VR playing corners.

I took the plunge on this and awaiting arrival. Ordered wheels and pedals combo for PS5 for GT7 which I play in VR. Had my G29 wheel/pedal combo for about 18 years now so I felt it was time. Looking forward to see the difference. My biggest thing is immersion so hopefully it will complement my PSVR

For the existing Logitech shifter, you will need to wait for an adapter that Logitech have said they will be releasing at some stage soon.
