Hi. I have some updated info that might help people. I have just replaced all the switches in my G600. Mouse feels as good as new. Here are the item names... Omron B3F1000 Tactile Switch 6mm SPST-NO 50mA @ 24V DC OMRON D2FC-F-7N(20M) Micro Switch Microswitch for RAZER Logitech G600 Mouse I got mine from Ebay. Very inexpensive at about £0.70 each. The mouse comes apart very easily. The switches come off without too much trouble. You will need a soldering iron and solder sucker. Not using a sucker would be a real pain since the switches have 3 or 4 legs. Here is to another 20'000 clicks or so.

I fixed my broken left click with this Autohotkey skript, cause I was to lazy to repair it: ~LButton::return ; Set A_PriorHotkey. #If A_PriorHotkey != "" && A_TimeSincePriorHotkey < 100 LButton::return ; Block hotkey. It removes all the unwanted double clicks for me. If I want to doubleclick now, I need a 0,1 second delay between the clicks, but it feels good for me.

The skates were about $10AUD for two sets on EBAY. As for the screwdrivers, hell, damn near everywhere. I picked mine up from a $2 shop. If you can't find them where you are... EBAY again? I guess? Shouldn't cost you more than a few bucks. The alcohol, go to your local hardware store. Over here in kangaroo land that means Bunnings. In the USA they have Home Depot, I'm guessing they're about equivalent.

I've used this mouse for like 8 years now maybe. It broke once (the wheel stopped working) and I bought another one. The new wheel started failing again so I was determined to fix it. This video helped a lot. Turns out there was about 30 lbs of cat hair wrapped around the wheel and I followed your steps and was able to de hair it. This video probably saved me the cost of another mouse for a while, thanks so much! Wish I had found it the first time.

Big thanks for this video, I was afraid of opening my G600, I suspect the left click switch is dirty, as it has the annoying double click issue. Now I'm not so scared of this task!

Just did this! IT WORKED! I didn't actually need to unplug the boards, I just gently laid the top half over and went to work with a few tools such as sterile cotton Non-woven gauze, rubbing alcohol, cotton swabs and my personal recommendation: Placker dental "tweeners" (for cleaning braces). They are amazing at getting into tiny crevaces and lifting out debris. I didn't want to try and pop the scroll wheel off so it really helped to clean thoroughly underneath it as well as deep clean the crevaces in the shell and between all of the buttons (especially on the side buttons) Example: images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/817hlepDWbL._SX355_.jpg

I had this issue and thought the mouse was dying since it was double clicking but I fixed it by going to Device Manager > Expand Mice and other Pointing Device > Right click HID-Compliant Mouse and disable device. @@MeepMeep88 Thank you so much! I didn't have access to isopropil alcohol at this time, but the clicker was driving me batshit crazy*Left clicker!* I had two "HID" devices showing up, disabled both and now my G600 is back in action. Woulda been a long while before I could buy another G600. Being a Disabled Individual, this mouse is literally everything I could want in a mouse. Its amazing. I've been keeping an eye out for newer mice with similar features, because damnit, I like Full mouse RGB, but most new mice these days are leaning towards the old 5 button layout. Access to over 32 buttons on one hand is amazing, especially considering my left hand likes to hit random macro keys when trying to press a and d for strafing.

Thank you for the tutorial! I was running into right click issues and this completely fixed it. I cleaned the whole thing but I'm guessing it was probably the cat hair to blame. For those asking about the screw placement, if you run your nail along the pads on the mouse, you can find the indentations for them. Watch the video for the exact placement, since there are some indentations that are not screws, and you can use an x-acto to cut out just the part of the pad you need to get to. Worked like a charm for me and I don't have to replace the pads!

How do you replace the footing once you tear it?
@The_Opinion_of_Matt2 жыл бұрын
I just used you video to open mine up and replace the switches. I have a fair amount of experience soldering electronics so that wasn't a problem for me. Two modifications to process that I did. One, rather than peel off the entire skate I used the Exacto knife to probe the screw locations and just cut a hole at the screw location. Unfortunately I found the hole you dropped the screw into at the end and cut that out before I realized that there wasn't a screw there. If you press on the skate with something pointy, like a knife or small screw driver the skate will dip in where there are holes because there is nothing behind them. Two, if you search the part number for the factory switches (Omron D2FC-F-7N(20M)) you will find them on Alibaba and Amazon from retailers that I didn't trust. Instead I searched Digi-Key which didn't have them, which is strange because Digi-Key has everything. Digi-Key sells to manufacturers. Not sure why they didn't have the factory ones. Anyway, after verifying dimensions and other specifications I ordered Omron D2FS-F-N. These may actually be higher quality as they are IP40 rated. They were $0.79 each from Digi-Key and arrived within a week. Shipping prices will vary, but for me it was $4.99. (Date for pricing reference January 15, 2023) If you haven't soldered electronics before replacing these will not be super easy. The hardest part is getting the old switch out because you have to get the solder melted on three holes all at once. It has been at least 5 years since I soldered anything electronic and at least 9 since I did it on the regular for work and it took me about 20-30 minutes to get the first switch out and about 15 to remove the second. DON'T FORCE IT! You can damage the board by pulling the barrel out of the through hole. Cleaned up the board with some Q-tips and rubbing alcohol and made sure the holes were clear. Inserted one of the switches into its holes. Held it in place with a finger on the switch side and soldered one of the pins, then verified the switch was positioned correctly. One of the switches was a little crooked after soldering the first pin so I held it in place with a finger and melted the solder on the single soldered pin and repositioned the switch while the iron was still on the pin. Once the switches were positioned correctly I soldered the other two pins. After they were soldered I went back to the first pin and "cleaned up" the solder joint. Went through and cleaned the board again with isopropyl and Q-tips then reassembled the mouse. Works good now and I used it to start and stop this video and send and edit this comment.

For those trying the cutting/drilling method to get the screws out without taking off the skate - can recommend using an electric drill with a 4mm head. That's about the perfect size, and you get with ease a clean hole with the electric drill. It was relatively easy to verify the location of the screws under the skate by first gently dipping the drill head, and see where the skate "sinks down" slightly from the screw hole underneath. Still reviewing afterwards now though if it's possible to get the skate-holes "rounded/sanded" down enough to make the mouse slide *almost* as smooth on the mousepad as before. Was terrible at first initial test, but got alot better by just continue using the mouse and let it "self-sand" itself on the mousepad. Hoping it will be good enough in the end, as it would be a overall good approach of opening the mouse, as for any future repairs you have already done "half the job" already now

I went 1 step further - i removed the black switch cover to the left & right mouse buttons (*BE SURE TO CATCH THE WHITE BUTTON THAT WILL FALL OUT OF THE BLACK SWITCH COVER), and there is a thin piece of metal that is the actual switch to the mouse. Over time it starts to flatten out (after about 20 million clicks, or so they say). With some tweezers you can slide it out, then just ever so gently bend the switch a tiny bit back so it's no longer flat. Amazing that a 0.01 piece of metal inside the mouse would cause so many people to buy a new mouse when you can just bend it back into shape. I also bought some new glides for the bottom, so yeah all in was $9~ for 2x pairs of the glides if i ever need to open it up again

Nice little Vid. Im having a problem with my middle mousewheel click. I can feel it clicking but it works when it wants...I had to assign middle click to other key. I wonder if it could actually be the switch, or just some other issue with the mouse like a firmware or something. Guess I will have to replace to know for sure. Do you have a hint on what to do to replace those feet u took off to get access to the screws? may some piece of adhesive teflon could work?
@HomeBrewedHero6 жыл бұрын
Lets start from the feet. You're gonna have to pull them up, and some double sided tape should hold them in place if you don't want to source new feet for the mouse. I found replacement teflon skids for the mouse on amazon for $7.00 and it came in a two pack so definitely cheap to source. The scroll wheel lifts off from it's clips. If you pull it up gently, this should give you access to the click button underneath the wheel. Once you've gained access to this click mechanism, you should be able to clean the click button. If that fails, you can always source a replacement click button from eBay and solder it in place. A good cleaning should get you back up and running though!

Thanks for this. My left-click is double-clicking a lot, and apart from running some paper under the button, I wasn't sure what to do since it had no obvious ways to open it. Kinda stupid to put the screws under the mouse feet, but that's the only complaint I've had of this mouse in it's fairly long lifespan. Is there a version of this mouse that opens without permanently damaging (however minor that damage is) the mouse? I'd be working on it right now, but I'd like a solution that doesn't get rid of the feet. Unfortunately, there seems to be nothing else I can do externally...

I have a problem with my G10 button where I have to hard press to have it register the key. It does the click sound but only until I really press down the key comes up. Any solutions ?

Are you able to remove the circuit board that sits under the side buttons? My G13 key isn't working so I was hoping that I could just clean it similar to how you've done in this video.

Ugh the profile saved to the software. The first 10 seconds on startup with my Sabre is slow as molasses until the load order hits. I miss my CM storm. It was also saved to the mouse.

Ah yes, the slow delay before the profiles load.... hate that so badly. The Scimitar doesn't do that thankfully!

Ah I'm an idiot. I can save the profile to the device through the CUE. No waiting anymore and no color cycling.

I havent tried this yet, but my G600's Left click, Scroll Wheel, Middle Click and Right Click are all gone isnt it a bit weird?

My G600 has a problem with the left mouse, where periodically, it will trigger the left mouse button more than once.

Having a similar issue with my mouse! I'll try this and comment here if it works or not. One thing I wanted to mention is, my mouse will sometimes grab with the right click, then lose contact. You suppose this will also help that?

So Mama Tiri Healthy Living is ME but I am too lazy to switch accounts at this moment... I just want to say I did this, and it WORKED. I just did like 30 test clicks and drags that all worked... before it was like every 3rd right click that didn't work, and every 6th or so of my left that didn't work. Thank you so much!

I had a completely different problem. my mouse appeared to die and give up. I am determined though and opened mine and discovered the power cables were held together by electrical tape like yours. after fiddling with it power was restored to my mouse. woohoo!
