I had a problem where the scroll was more or less broken, at times it would scroll up or down randomly whenever I moved the wheel. A little bit of WD-40 and I saw more response when I moved the scroll wheel. Impatiently, I added much more WD-40 and to my surprise it worked a lot better, now it works as though there isn't any problems, only every now and then the mouse would register the wheel moving in the opposite direction and it would show scroll in that opposite direction. More than happy with this result as I wasn't expecting any fix and just wanted a workable scroll wheel even if there were a few hitches, much thanks!

Gracias a ti! Acabo de reparar el Scroll de mi M280 rojo. Use limpiador de contactos en el mismo lugar. Eche bastante porque no logre llevar una gota con palito como tu lo haces jajaja. Pero ahora se mueve como la crema, antes mientras le hacia hacia abajo, se regresaba el scroll hacia arriba o me pausaba el recorrido.

Great tips - hidden screw...WD-40 in the cap (rather than spraying - less is usually better). Logitech and other companies should have tips like this on their websites!

The rubber is what makes it sticky when scrolling. Removed it and voila! Feels good as new

What I did is separated the pcb from the shell and removed the scroll wheel from where it is attached. covered the pcb with so that only where the scroll wheel attaches is exposed, and the sprayed it with wd-40. seems to work for me so far
