I'm a developer using the mini version of the keyboard, I work 8 hours a day with no pain at all. For me it's the most comfortable keyboard I've ever used. My only con for the mini version that's not compatible with the unifying receiver also bolt receiver not included.
@drbenirusani Жыл бұрын
"not compatible with the unifying receiver" -- hi what do you mean by this, I plan to buy the mini version for Mac too. Thanks 😁
@StefanConstantinDumitrache Жыл бұрын
@@drbenirusani Logitech has a few types of receivers, and each one can pair with at least 2 devices at a time. The Unifying received pairs with 6 devices, and while it may be unlikely to use that many, you would still like to pair it with a compatible mouse and keyboard. Logitech did sort of a dumb move with this pair of keyboards, because the regular MX Keys uses the Unifying receiver, but the MX Keys Mini uses the Bolt receiver. So if you have a Logitech mouse compatible with one of these receivers, you need to know which one is it so you can buy the right keyboard. What's even more baffling is that the Mini uses a different receiver than the MX Anywhere 3, which is probably the most lauded mini-mouse Logitech has on sale right now. So while Logitech likes to advertise these two as making a great pair, they don't fully work together unless you use both receivers.

Just a feedback. Your cons with the keyboard is not actually because of the keyboard or not mainly because of the keyboard design. It could be a factor that the actuation weight of the keypresses could be on the heavier side compared to your preference or to the key weight you are used to. But, it is more on the way you type, most probably. Using a wrist rest is not actually good, because you are putting unnecessary pressure and awkward angle on your wrist while typing for long hours. The best thing to avoid the issues you have described is to change the way you type. Instead of using a wrist rest, learn to hover your hands over a keyboard, avoid using your wrist as a pivot point for typing.

I have this and the K780. I find the k780 to have just a little snappier feel in the keys and I like how the keys are circles- my fingers fined each key just a touch more easily as I use the keyboard. Plus the bounce back is a touch better. Last, that notch for the ipad and iPhone keep clutter of an extra stand off my desk. I just sit down and put the ipad or phone there. If the MX keys had that holder I’d be pushed to hang onto it but I hang onto my K780 easily in the meantime.

I question whether reviewers actually use the keyboard. Why? The backlight alone is enough to make it unusable. It looks great when lighten but that takes time and results in incorrect key pressing or waiting for to lighten before typing. I bought tried and finally threw it away. Together with the mx3s mouse as that won’t allow you to rest your hand without the, light touch buttons triggering. Beautiful combination but a pain to use.
@cannotkazi3 жыл бұрын
The rounded dip in the keycaps could indeed be comfort-additive as your fingers have a lil spot to land into, But then again we're not really typing one key at a time right? So our fingers that land towards the edge-most keys hit them at an angle. Maybe then that calls for the shape of the spherical dip to be angular as well. Err..but that would certainly make it less generally suitable for the masses. It'll hit home for some, and throw off others. This right here in such case sounds like a "safe" bet on their part.

Both are basically the same, except for: -the inscriptions on some of the buttons -the inversed ALT/Option and Win/Command buttons -the cable included (USB3-USBC vs USBC-USBC on Mac). The general consensus is that you should get the regular one though, for more versatility between devices, and it also works just fine with the Mac, but you'll need your own charging cable or use an adapter, and you'll need to get used with the 2 flipped buttons.

I would avoid this keyboard. I bought one 15 months ago, and the paint is coming off the command key. Logitech does not sell replacement keys, and the only third party key replacements have cmd|alt on the key and not command, so if i want to replace the key, it wont match the other command key. The only way i can see to prevent this from happening is buying a silicone skin to cover your keys, and that make the typing experience less enjoyable.

Acopule of things, I don't know from where you got the idea that Apple has the best keyboards out there, in fact it's pretty far from that level unless we talk about the price, in this last aspect they totally achive their goal of overpricing them. About this keyboard, I have it and the backlight system should have been optional, if I want to keep it on and drain my battery faster, should have been my choice, more when it isn't as flawless as you've said man, sometimes it takes a couple of seconds to activate and anything depending the whole time to work this way, is susceptible of an issue in the long term. It should hace been optional also to at least have another height option to avoid pain in the wrists (at least is not as bad as some apple keyboards that are completely flat with also completely flat keycaps).

This keyboard honestly can't be any worse than the often over hyped Apple keyboards. I think Keyboards are Apples weakest link in everything other than an on screen version in IOS! Take any second gen keyboard for Mac mini or iMac for example, the keys are terrible, to shallow, wear very easily and stiffen up way to early. Apples A1314 model pryor to the later versions is actually superior in almost every way. Deeper keys, stronger key build quality, 100 times better typing experience! The Trackpad 2 also really sucks compared to even a cheap Microsoft mouse. The Trackpad 1 and 2 is slow and very clumsy by comparison and is useless at fine adjustment, say on software EQing for example or any software that require fine adjustment.
