Yo tengo ambos, y déjame decirte que el Z623 tiene muy buen sonido, pero el Z5500 debes conectarlo por entrada analoga de 5.1 canales idealmente con una tarjeta de sonido para darte cuenta que hasta el día de hoy no existe rival para este equipo, de echo hice una prueba, el z5500 a máximo volumen no distorsiona en cambio el z623 si, en potencia es muchísimo mas la del z5500, de echo si los pones juntos con canciones diferentes ambos a máximo volumen notaras que el z623 ni siquiera se escucha. Pero en conclusión nadie escucha la música así de fuerte y para un uso doméstico el z623 es genial.

I dont know what is the situation in other countries, but in my country the Z-623 is will be no more aviable, just maybe on some used-stuff market, but the newer 625 yes. The 625 is the same like the 623, just 625 have +1 input which is optical. Btw, I have 623, I am happy with it, even it is better if you retune the subwoofer (if you like heavy low bass music - below like 32 Hz like me). Check my videos, there is a simple subwoofer retuning video with an explaination - I wrote down everything in the video's description...

GIZMO320 The people that say that play bass boosted music while the subwoofer is at max volume on the knob. I've had a z623 for AGES no damage to the subwoofer at all.

@@maincharacter2677 Yeah propably and even if, I had a z623 myself, its impossible to blow the driver with the stock amp neither damaging it. Speakers are built to last, as long as they are kept inside, they last forever. Not 5 years but 50 years atleast

The 5500s sub sounds worse on 100% but a bit better on 50%. Pretty boomy and wrong.. The 623 is a lot better. The sats of the 5500 have very recessed highs but nicer mids. The 623s sats definetly have more highs but theyre sharp and not smooth..

​@Koti M In real life z623 on more 50% volume gives farts subwoofer with a lot only air, is a little subwoofer with real 50 Watt RMS, Z-623 is Toy, real subwoofer power have z-2300, z-680, Z-5400, z-5450, z-5500 subwoofer. i tested all subwoofer only don't test z-5400 and z-5450.
