Logrite / Future Forestry Products Log Arch in use to harvest red oak.

I use my log arch to retrieve an oak that's been down for a couple of years. I'm also trying to improve on my editing skills... much more to learn. Hope you enjoy the video.

Love your Arch mate saves much back work. Never seen one as small as yours but a useful thing all the same. In the logging industry here in NZ back in the 70's we had a arch similar to yours but rather then being pulled like yours ours stood up right pretty much the same principle as yours but designed to carry heaver loads behind a bully or what ever. Thank you for sharing, nice to see how the other side of the world does things on the farm.

Future Forestry Products was/is Mark Havel, (aka "Forest Dan") in Polk County, (Willamette Valley), Oregon. Great guy. Amongst many other inventions/designs, he also designed the Jr. Arch, which I purchased from him and use constantly on my 80-acre former woodlot; now undergoing habitat restoration for critters and Oregon white oaks.

Sapwood will be gone, but the heartwood should still be good. But you pretty much skipped over the actual loading into the arch ;)

I just subscribed. Thank you. The length is limited. I usually can get a 16 foot log completely off the ground as long as the strap is on the front. Logrite also makes trolly for really long logs that hooks on the back of the long log. Basically like an axel. I don't need it yet. Thank you for watching.
