Same here I was watching videos today of Jack Van Impe passing away last week. When I noticed a video of Madam Lois Evans and I went over towards her videos to watched them. I said to myself what a beautiful woman inside & outside. I had no idea that she was the wife of Toni Evans. Because I did not follow their Ministry. I noticed another video of her family Celebrating their Parent's 70th Birthday and another video on her Home Going Celebration. May she Rest In Sleep.🙏🏾🌹🙋🏾‍♀️

This has been a blessing for me. I am not a Pastor's wife, but I'm a Pastor's daughter, and although I'm a grown adult, with a family of my own and serving in leadership in my father's church, I do experience a lot of the pressures that these first ladies have mentioned. Lately I just needed some encouragement to help me put things into perspective, as I've been experiencing a season of weariness. This session with these first ladies has been a breath of fresh air to my soul. This Ministry has been SUCH a blessing to me, I honestly believe God led me to this KZbin video today. To the family and loved ones of Dr Lois Evans my prayers are with you. Her legacy continues to live on. God bless you all.

I don’t understand why do pastor’s wives are calling themselves First Lady, when they should be the only ladies that their husband is married to. First Lady isn’t biblical at all. These ladies are our sister who is serving beside their husbands, who is called to leave God’s people. To many labels in the church, this is just to setting yourselves up highly highly then they should be. Yes I do believe that the body of Christ which is the church should respect marriages and pastor wives, I am asking this with no shade behind it. I hear to many single women that wanting to be a First Lady and I don’t understand this when Pastors and their wives are servant of God’s people.

I think it just means your the 1st Lady of the church, not necessarily 1st lady of the pastor as if he had a second lady as well. It's just something that sort of stuck over the years. Not really sure how it came about.
@MsVarie
@MsVarie 4 жыл бұрын
I read somewhere that it also has its roots in the slavery era. Most churches were full of women and the pastor's family. First lady was a distinction to show who the pastor's wife is in the church.

Because people do not read their Word. Not familiar with these woman other than the many videos I have watched of T D Fakes and his so called ministry. He is a buffoon, a clown butchering the Scriptures. He is running a show, a carnival where he barks and shouts and struts about as though that masquerade substitutes for spirituality, growth and edification. That these ladies do not have enough discernment, nor shame to be identified as such in this area is testament to the incredible deception taking place in the church. Being called First Lady imparts nothing to you. It does not somehow set you apart other than self aggrandizement.

The term first lady is not constitutional. It came about in the USA because England once ruled America and England had Kings & Queens. So America had no such thing so they came up with this first lady title which has moved from Hollywood to the business churches.
@sawilsondtownpa
@sawilsondtownpa 6 жыл бұрын
no 1st lady is not in the constitution- I don't know who said that- but it is what we call our US spouse- it is a term of endearment,respect for a woman sort of thrust into a position of prestige because of her husband. It came out in the church I assume hen someone felt that the pastor's wife was an integral key to her husband's spiritual and pastoral success and that of the church. Most people mean it as a term of respect and honor. It is not a Biblical term but t is also not satanic- there are lots of positions, ministries and titles that are not in the Bible- or intended specifically for the church such as co-pastor, asst. pastor, trustee, sexton, minister of music, minister,praise team, children's ministry ,armor bearers----- as in everything- there are times when things get out of control.... but these women are attempting to help other women in the same position to thrive as wives, women of God and women of influence

I watched this once before and it was good to watch and listen to it again. I grew up in the church and was raised to believe that God sent those of us on the pews to assist the pastor and First Lady. I vividly recall once when my childhood pastor rebuked and reprimanded the women in the church for not assisting the First Lady without her having to ask for the help. Reminding the women that they are the laborers that he had prayed to God for and should do their part. It was a given without being said that you just don't mess with the first lady. I recall the women received the word humbly from the pastor with tears and then later actions of amending their error and not anger or bitterness. I left the church when I became old enough to do so and returned in 2011. The things I have witnessed in the churches since my return is very sad. I've seen first ladies working their behinds off and none of the laborers lifting a finger to help unless the first lady ask for help. Once when I mentioned to a few of the sisters about the need to help our first lady they became defensive and told me if the first lady needed help then she should ask! I've seen women within the church group together in clans, taking on positions within the church of Sunday school and bible studies teachers, then using those positions to gain power over the church. These women were actually running things right into the ground and the pastor seemingly unable to do anything about it, eventually one of the pastors resigned. My daughter came home from work telling me about coworkers who hated their pastor and first lady so that they were plotting behind their backs to the board working craftily to get them out of their positions, saying things such as this is my church I have been here longer than them! Something is happening within the church and we as women hold a huge responsibility to check our own selves and spirits making sure that we are being honest about what is going on with us, asking the pastor and first lady for help in prayer to break and loose footholds before they become strongholds. This is not about us, but God. The pastor & first lady are always the head of the church and to mess with that order is messing with God.
@thyslop1737

There is no such thing as a FIRST LADY anywhere in the Scriptures. There is a reaaon to leave the so called church with pastors who are not feeding the sheep, but are hiding behind bloated, self important titles, twisting and perverting the Scriptures while simultaneously enriching themselves by selling Christian entertainment masquerading as edification and insight.

This is so awsome!!❤ And so many divorces, especially in the church. Could have been, and can be prevented in the future. If this conversation were discussed on a regular basis. Thank you ladies. 😊🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👍🏽God Bless you all.

Pastors wives are special and my prayers are with you all. Not only on the panel but everywhere. For me I would never want to be a pastor's wife, it is just not me, but I am a praying woman who will have your backs and support you. I am a widow after 22 wonderful years of marriage, the best time in my life was spending those years with my late husband. On another note, the first pastor wife Jackie, in the orange or red dress talked way too long! Leave enough time for First lady Sereta Jake's and the other first lady, Jada. We must share the table you are not the only one we need to hear. I was waiting to hear the other women of God. So First lady Lois Evan's called on First Lady Jake's; she is inspiring. Love all of you and stay strong for your husbands and families.
