You should see if you can get someone to come out to electrofish your pond so you can get a more accurate idea of the fish population. Flair had someone come out and do his pond and not only was it super informative it also made for some great content.

Next time you go to lowes get a stick of 1/2" conduit. Bend a hook in the end. It'll make getting jugs a lot easier.

Maybe a stupid idea depending on depth of pond and what not but could you get one of those sonar bobbers or whatever it's called and cast it or drop it there and see if it's a log or a big obstruction buried halfway on the bottom so you know for future not to throw trot line over there lol. Hey LoJo, not sure if u will even see this, but since the cats are so big try making ur jugs out of actual two liter coke bottles or used milk jugs. I even made them out of 6 to 8in. round pool noodles cut too about 12in.'s long & then used a piece of cloths hanger stuck thru the middle to tie the black nylon string for the hook set however long u need. But with the hanger cut it long enough to stick thru the noodle and have enough out either side to hook back into itself to hold the hanger wire in and not come back out. Hope u use this and it helps.

You've got to get a winch on your side by side and throw out a big grapple hook on a chain to drag some of those nasty snags outta there, replace them with better structure, no point having structure in a pond that size if all it does is screw up the fishing for you and fill your pond with broken lines and fish tied to snags
