Definitely! Get a shimano anteres. As well as the most expensive spinning combo.
@devinlindberg253 Жыл бұрын
The reason why G. Loomis IMX Pro rods are expensive is because they are technique specific. The length, action, and power is all specifically advised from professionals around the industry to give you exactly what you want. They also offer IMX pro in Mag bass rods, flip and punch rods, jig and worm rods, crank bait rods, and more making it in my opinion the most diverse selection of rods with blanks as strong and sensitive as a GLX

Yes, you should do a rod reel and lure combo
@314Bassin Жыл бұрын
Great video that combo is sick one reason why G Loomis is expensive because of rod eyelets they flexible u can bend them up down they return to original form they made so u can't brake them when in most rods u bend one mostly brakes when u try straight them
@lojofishing Жыл бұрын
Dang..that’s impressive
@lukeedwards9172 Жыл бұрын
That isn’t true at all. While it is a very quality rod with expensive guides but they will still break if you bend them. The reason loomis rods are so expensive is because the sensitivity and weight of the rods. The materials make the rod so much lighter and the sensitivity on the rods are unmatched.
@HellKnight1952 Жыл бұрын
The sheer durability of them as well. Last year we were fishin on Oneida lake for walleye at night and i hooked into a 6' sturgeon. I was using a g loomis E6X walleye rod 7' light action with a shimano stradic ci14 2500 FA and 10lb power pro braid. Took me 4 hours to bring in and it put rod reel and drag to the absolute test! When i say the rod tip was damn near the but of the rod im not kidding! I had to two hand the rod when he did his runs and the drag was ripping outta that real like a marlin would. Smart fish he used his weight instead of jumping the only jump was the initial hookset. It literally jumped out of the water next to me we saw eachother eye to eye and then it was game on! But after that 4 hours the loomis was unscathed no stress fractures worn eyes reel was fine worked like new the very next day. I also use the e6x bass rod casting rod never had a bad hookset and sensitivity on both is absolutely insane.
@HOLDFASTHOUND Жыл бұрын
He also shouldn't really be throwing a T-rig to get a good first impression, unless that was a 1 ounce tungsten weight. I would have started out throwing a jackhammer down the sides.

Also do an SLX DC review with them too. Curious to hear what you think the differences are. I think they're so close that the money spent for a higher line reel is waisted for most people. Thanks. That aldebaran bfs reel is a blast for catching big crappie on the micro googan cranks or small under spins. I have a few of them on 7’ light action casting rods it’s worth doing at least once. Or go with a curado or slx bfs to save a few dollars.

I own two g-loom is panfish rods and I will say that there is nothing that can beat it. Most sensitive rods you can feel the slightest bites and the quality is spectacular.
@LiChenyang-gg8jl Жыл бұрын
LOJO, the letter "TWFR" on the rod means "Top Water Frog Rod". High end Gloomis rods have specific rods for specific lures, so this is technically a perfect frog rod. However, you can definitely use it for t-rig and jigs but it is not that perfect. Tight lines

That was not a bfs Aldebaran. That was the Aldebaran mgl 30. It is designed for throwing lightweight presentations, but you can still cast most traditional bass lures with it. Line capacity could be an issue when using heavier lines but overall a fantastic reel. Something you should try at some point.
@lukeedwards9172 Жыл бұрын
Perfect explanation. Not a bfs but still a reel made for throwing lighter lures a mile. The aldebaran is one of Shimanos smoothest and lightest reels that they make.

If I were to do it again, I would have gone with the G Loomis GLX Jig & Worm 853 with a Shimano Metanium DC. It has plenty of power and is a split grip. The IMX Pro is a great rod, but the Jig & Worm model is what you needed. It would have been much more satisfying of an experience. G Loomis has the best components and recently merged with Shimano.
