The Lokis go from killing each other to almost fucking kissing in 20 minutes, it was painful to watch. I am not sure what the hell is going on with Loki's powers? One minute hes way too underpowered and cant beat humans in a shop, next minute hes stopping buildings with telekinesis powers? What the fuck? I was perplexed, some saying he may have stolen the time stone to do it but, I am not sure that is the case considering to green glow and he'd surely have no idea how to use it? I am hoping it improves but that was just awful.. expectations have been lowered a lot

I do sort of love how they merged the characters of Lady Loki and the Enchantress. The most common variants in Marvel Comics are when 2 different superhero mantles get merged together, so it's fitting that the 1st, (technically 2nd,) Loki variant that we meet in person is an amalgam.

Action was on point. VFX for Lamentis was incredible. Nice throwback to Robin Hood. Was great hearing Loki talk fondly of his mother. Confirmed that most TVA are all Variants. Definitely felt like Doctor Who.

I love the framing of them in the booth on the train. The booth and the bar in the distance create the illusion of a circle, a loop, even a track for the train metaphor we have going in the episode, but its actually an open-ended circle or broken loop that the two are caught in. This is a perfect visual metaphor for the entire show so far; the two of them, seeming stuck in this illusion of a doomed fate, while the true nature of their fate is always open for them change.

Great reaction. Sylvie Lushton in the comics took the name of enchantress but she wasn’t the real one. The real Enchantress came to her and was like there’s only one enchantress. So basically sylvie took the name so that Wiccan and others took her more seriously.

I think you are right. They have been very careful about the words they use to refer to what the TVA does to both timelines and variants. Timelines get pruned locally (like a bud in a bonsai) using the time charges. Variants get either pruned or reset.

Well that was fast! Good review! Really good filler episode - Indiana Jones meets Doctor Who meets Snowpiercer kind of vibe, with a tiny dash of Star Wars (in a "That's no space station, that's a moon" kind of way). Just about everyone suspected the TVA agents were variants or not as they seemed, so it's good that the show chose to address this now instead of a late stage reveal. Also puts an ironic twist on the last episode's bit where the agents snickered during the briefing when they told Loki to turn around and reveal how "VARIANT" is written in big letters on the back of his coat. They were laughing at him being the variant, but surprise surprise, the jokes on you - you're all variants. And that falling building bit has me thinking that Loki may have "liberated" one of the stones in the desk back in Episode 1 before it got pruned, as it comes off as borderline "sorcerer supreme" territory. Alternative would be that someone is intervening to help them out, but that would have made him much more surprised by the development than he appeared to be.

The TVA city is pretty big. Maybe its populated by the people that were pruned from nexus events. It would make a handy source of help. After their original time lines are trimmed they have their memories wiped.

The writers of previous films are more to blame because they consistently treated Loki like he was a powerless moron. For example: it made no sense for Loki to use a dagger on Thanos when he is meant to be a cunning sorcerer. Finally we’re actually seeing some of the skills he has.

My theory is that Loki secretly has the time stone

I notice a lot of streamers said female Loki couldn't control the TVA guy due to time operation in the TVA. This leads me to believe Enchantress has never entered the TVA before and took control of them in the TVA. Yet she knows about the time keepers and the TVA outside the TVA and never visited the TVA before, until now. My guess is that there's a TVA where you can use magic and this TVA is manipulated by Kang in his mini bubble at a macro level that powerful energy is literally useless. My other guess is that the Enchantress is a pawn in someone else large game and she was meant to play her role and invaded the TVA and her surprise that her powers don't work is due to being rinsed and repeated in the same event over and over again, but with different Loki Variants, or just by herself since she was an employee of the TVA before going rogue and she doesn't know that she's she been pruned at certain events and fix back together at others, erase all knowledge of the pruning.

The fact that it's even called the "sacred" timeline lets me know immediately that this is a religious propaganda creation and revelation story used to instill obedience through fear and conformity, much in the same vein as the Bible, in that it talks of the "creator/s" creating everything, and then creating order out of the chaos in the same way God did with the universe, then earth, then humanity. I find it funny that no one online has really drawn that parallel when Mobius asks Renslayer what the Time Keeper is like because he has never seen him himself. It's the age old "What does God look like? and How do you believe in something that isn't there" questions. The fact that Loki, a god of mischief with Horns is at the center of questioning at all. It's so Biblical.

She denies the name constantly, and the TVA could be misinformed or else just lying about it to the "real" Loki and Enchantress just kind of went along with it when he confronted her with it (just to play along to keep him from digging into who she REALLY is). But I concede that it's likely that she is in fact a Loki variant, but will just not be identified as such for too long & will "turn into" Enchantress instead.

I totally dont get what Loki's powers are anymore. This lifting building was some Doctor Strange with time stone stuff. It was really powerfull and weird stuff. How is it then, that he gets beat up by some regural guards, when he can do THAT? Get consistency right!

He used telekinesis, which we have seen him use in the dark world, I know a lot of people dont watch it so it's hard to remember but go back and check those scenes with loki

@@Anu32148 ...and he is suddenly strong enough to lift a building and put it back in place...? I saw him summoning the cleaning bot in second episode, but this is some bullshit. He is not some magneto all of the sudden. Scarlet witch would have struggled a bit with that. Loki did it without almost any effort. This is just huge inconsistency

I think Lady Loki isn’t a Loki. I think she’s Sylvie the Enchantress and Loki was her boyfriend. Who was killed by the TVA and she’s out for revenge. Or she is Loki. I like the Sylvie theory though.
