I think Sylvie's comment about "create me a new outfit" is a bit of an in joke. Sophia Di Martino has been effusive in her praise for the costume designer because they created her outfit with easy to remove panels so she could pump milk for her new born baby. Glorious Purpose, sacrifice to allow other Loki’s to achieve their ends, not some selfish Scheme. Sylvie made Loki a better person, and together they did the same for Classic. They will go back and try to save all the other Loki’, probably only Kid. Alligator Loki will probably end up in a Thor’s bath.

Reference bomb here. The episode title "Journey into Mystery" is from a set of comics from the 50's but, also the name of comics silver age Thor and Loki debuted in the year 1962. During the introduction where its showing the wreckage of NY we see Stark Tower but, it has what looks to be "KANG" written at the top which is a reference to the 2015 Avengers comics where Tony sold the tower to Kang Enterprises. Alioth is from the Avengers: Terminatrix Objective comics from the 90's. When we get another view of the field Loki is on we see a giant Yellow Jacket helmet lying broken and a buried and partially covered stone statue of the Living Tribunal. The frog in the jar is THROG, a frog who got powers of Thor and able to wield Mjolnir. His jar is labeled T365, which actually means Thor #365, his first appearance. The Thanoscopter is a reference to Spidey Super Stories, a 79's comic series aimed at very young children staring Spider-man which in this, Thanos had a helicopter that had his name proudly marked on it. Old Loki refers to themselves as "Gods of Outcasts" which is a direct line from 2019's Loki #5. The Loki that captures the main ones is pulled straight from 2016's "Vote Loki" comic. When all of the Loki's and Mobius are staring side by side at Alioth we can see the Dark Aster towards the left of the screen which is Ronan the Accusers ship from GOTG. We also get a glimpse of a shield Helicarrier being eaten by Alioth.

It won't be, Tom hiddleston explained why Loki went for the kill against thanos even though he failed. There's more emotional ties to it such as saving his brother rather than just a trick he pulled.

Of course this Loki is a post-Avengers Loki that only witnessed his 'death' as well. And Classic Loki only got TVA'd when he tried to leave solitude - presumably many years later. They've left the door wedged open for now. I hope this Loki + Sylvie survive because I like them, but it could be interesting if Richard E Grant came back as that version successfully re-entering society again without the TVA nabbing him somewhere down the line.

I just sent a wall of text to my (long-suffering) friend about how my enjoyment of this show ties directly into my long-standing love of Doctor Who so I feel vindicated hearing at least one other person compare the two. There's a charming, silly, slightly clunky, dark (but not too dark) weirdness that links the two in my mind. Not to mention the time and space travel, British accents, banter, and synth-y soundtrack. It makes me think I wouldn't actually mind Who jumping from BBC to a fresher, more invested platform.
