Normies! Just so yall know, "Journey Into Mystery" is the name of the comic book series that first introduced Thor and Loki, starting with Journey Into Mystery #83 and #84 respectively. And "Classic Loki" is literally Loki's original design, which he had until around 2009 when Sentry killed him. He was shortly resurrected as "Kid Loki" afterwards, until he became the new Modern Loki which this Loki's design is based off of.

Sylvie's Nexus event was her heroic potential. Remember, she was playing with a Valkyrie against dark forces when she was taken. A heroic Loki would be a threat to whoever's behind the TVA.

That was my thoughts too! When she played she said that the valkyries arrived and saves Asgard, and note that Thor always looked up to the valkyries, so I think She and Thor was supposed to go in the same heroic path.

I think it’s either a Loki that is good, or a Loki that loves themselves and has a special bond with either Thor or anyone really. They’ve been repeating the same thing in the show, that he’s meant to be alone and lose. When classic Loki got away from Thanos, they didn’t come after him, only until he wanted to see Thor. The nexus event created by both Loki’s on Lamentis is also another example. Whoever is running the TVA considers a Loki that doesn’t hate himself, has a bond with someone else, and SURVIVES, as a threat. Explains why him dying is what they consider the “sacred” timeline.

Classic loki, is essentially our original Loki, having gone through all his development, escaped his end from Thanos, lived in exile and solitude for what must've been centuries, during which time he mastered his ability with illusion just so he could imagine being home in Asgard. And then he got stripped away from his timeline when he started to hope he could go back.. and he hated himself the entire time, until this finale, where he found his true glorious purpose, helping Loki and Sylvie save the universe. He deserved to go out with a bang, and now I'm accepting that as the MCU canon ending for our Loki.

Fun fact: That story Classic Loki told about how he casted a projection of himself to be killed by Thanos and floated away on debris to escape is actually based on a ridiculous fan theory back in 2018 after Infinity War was released, where in one scene after Loki died fans saw some debris in the background that they thought looked like Loki and so theorised that was how he survived. It’s a ridiculous fan theory that is contrived and doesn’t make sense and marvel used it as a backstory for Classic Loki

Or maybe hes just stronger because he practiced? All the other loki's seem to be obsessed with using physical weapons instead of honing their sorcery. (battlemage per say) Even our Loki uses daggers rather than pure magic. From an RPG standpoint pure mages have stronger magic than battlemages who use weapons + magic. So it just makes sense... you cant be expert at everything so practice one thing to be expert in that one thing rather than remain mediocre at everything. :P Quote from Classic Loki from the episode: "Take no offense, my friends, but blades are worthless in the face of a Loki sorcery. I keep thinking the reason Sylvie’s timeline was considered a branch isn’t just that she’s a good & heroic Loki… What if she was also worthy to wield Mjolnir? Also Azula was a great edition to the reaction crew, she’s so cute!

The theory of how its New York after the battle of new york is always stupid, and over looks a small detail. If it was the Avengers tower then that means it happened after Loki's invasion of New York. The building was Stark Tower during 2012. Different models. The version of Avengers Tower in the Void is Qeng tower, which is owned by an alias of Kang the Conqueror.

I think Sylvie's nexus event was the decision to play the hero with her toys. A child Loki should be fantasizing about conquering and ruling Asgard, but this was the moment Sylvie solidified her identity as someone who would fight evil and help others. It's an interesting suggestion about the importance of role models in a person's development. When Loki's born male he sees himself in Odin: the warlord and conqueror; the rightful king, destined to rule. But as a female she sees herself in the Valkyrie: loyal, honor-bound protectors who make the universe a safer place. That was all it took to make her a completely different person.

I'm guessing what you're hinting at happened after Into the Spider-verse released? I only may know one character who goes by Spiderwoman in the comics, she wasn't in the first movie, so it just made more sense for Gwen to be that instead of going totally 1:1 with the material.
