The Loki series is exactly what marvel shows should strive to be. It was great. Really felt bad for Loki having to be all alone holding the multiverse together.

Ya realize that many times shows DO strive to be that good etc yea?... and that virtually NEVER do they set out to make something that is garbage... I know... I know thats hard for people to grasp. And everyone just takes peoples literal hard work and balk like they can do better... but, even bad shows and movies take a lot of hard work and time to make.

Kinda ironic, Loki was well written, he’s like last bastion of trying to hold the MCU together with the recent bad movies they came out with. Hopefully the stories rebound back to this level after Loki.

Tom’s dedication and passion to this role was *INSANE!* - He watched the movies since the beginning and loved them. - He read all the comics as he was growing up. - He held multi-day long ‘Loki’ & ‘Marvel’ lectures for the entire cast and crew even going to Owen’s house several days in a row to help him prepare for his role as ‘Mobius.’ - He learnt Norwegian and sang in it as well as study Norse lore to prepare for his role in the first Thor movie. - He asked the composer, Natalie Holt to put certain music tracks into particular scenes - He became a ‘special executive producer’ for the series

I couldn't understand what this finale was doing to me. How was I feeling so much for just a character? Why was my throat getting heavier? Why were my eyes just filling up? Then I realised that the writers did such a great job in giving this character his best arc. This show alone did such a great job to bring us closer to Loki as an audience. The “original” Loki from the MCU sacrificed himself to save Thor and his people of Asgard. The Loki from Disney+ was taken from this timeline and was never able to experience this moment, or moments, that led to him learning how to be selfless. Yet, he still learns it and makes a sacrifice to protect those he cares about. This Loki was always destined to be a hero.

"Time is an illusion." and it's beautiful to see that the character who creates illusions now controls time. So that was character development at its finest. And I found it funny that he always wanted the throne and now he's firmly attached to one. It's interesting to see his wish come true, but it comes with enormous responsibility. Sensational series finale. I hope Marvel continues to build their movies so well after the low point of the last few years.

@@WonkelDee maybe. But what we saw was Loki grab all of the dead branches of time and bring them back to life THEN stitch them into the world tree and have the ability to peer through the tree to see his friends essentially gaining omnipresence and just needing to focus on a spot to witness what’s going on. In the comics God of Stories Loki is just below Those Who Sit Above in Shadow. He is capable of rewriting timelines, and rewrote his own future. At this point we have no entities of the level of Those who sit above, so until we do, I’m confident saying that Loki is at the top. If those more concept level beings are introduced Loki slides down a bit. But as of now, Loki is God of Stories and can control time at will. He is the time stone incarnate.

And the initials of the TVA motto "For All Time Always" read F.A.T.A. FATA is Latin for fate. On another point about Beethoven's 5th: In an episode of series nine of Dr. Who, the Doctor (Peter Capaldi) plays this well-known tune on an electric guitar in a fourth-wall break designed to explain the bootstrap paradox to the audience... As was mentioned in the last episode of Loki, it's all about "Who".🤔 😊

I was kinda thinking they were just referring to the quantum realm when they said the 616 adjacent realm, meaning each realm has its own quantum realm. Also it was pretty cool that Odin originally said both Loki and Thor were meant to sit on a throne, almost like Odin always knew Loki’s true purpose.
@BlazonistTwitch
@BlazonistTwitch Жыл бұрын
They don’t each have their own quantum realm. It’s slightly different. The quantum realm is the basement of the multiverse. The portal/connection to every universe in the multiverse. They talked about it when quantum mania came out.
@Simbino3
@Simbino3 Жыл бұрын
@@BlazonistTwitch that’s what I thought too until this happened. it’s just weird to refer to it as its 616 adjacent realm. They could be retconning that original idea and making more than just one quantum realm. It would make sense for them to make one for each universe if we’re going to see incursions happening and we aren’t seeing multiple variants in the quantum realm. In an entire multiverse it seems like more than just one Janet, Scott, Darren, etc. would have been in the quantum realm at the same time so I bet they are now saying each realm has its own adjacent quantum realm underneath it.

This was great. One thing that's been going around on Twitter, was that there was another closed Ouroboros loop. At the end of the first Thor movie when Odin is holding onto Loki at the broken Rainbow Bridge, Loki's monologue ends with: Loki: I did it for you! For All of us. Odin: No, Loki. When Loki turns to see Sylvie and Mobius, he talks about knowing what type of god he needs to be and ends it with: Loki: For you.... For all of us Mobius: NO! Sylvie: LOKI! The same lines, read in two very different ways. By everyone in the scene. The first time Loki says this, he's frantically pleading with his father to be seen, to be heard, for validation that what he did was not wrong. And Odin tells him calmly. No. The second time he says them, he's lived a lifetime of destructive behavours only to find out what was the most important thing to him. Friends and a family that both see and hear him. And to save them he knows what he has to do. So he says what he says in a resigned and yet hopeful way. Only to have Mobius and Sylvie yell out to him in fright because they've yet to see the bigger picture that Loki has come to realize. The end of his loop. His character arc complete, achieving the same growth that Thor did.

If Loki could stop his time slipping and master it, also hold the multiverse together I think it’s safe to say his power has no limits. Eventually I think he’ll be able to leave the end of time and do what he pleases while still holding the multiverse together. It’s kinda crazy how powerful he is. He technically can’t die either because if he gets close to it or thinks he might he could just time slip and change the situation or be ready for anything coming.

My theory is that when Loki timeslips (similar to time travel on the physical timeline) the new chain of events is supposed to create a new timeline but because they are outside of time it can't, so that's why every time Loki timeslips in the final few episodes the surrounding area always spaghetti-fies... those events technically didn't happen although Loki still experienced/remembers them

If that's true, I hope Eric Martin has been brought on as the new head writer as he's perfect for it. He'd be the only one who could re-intergrade the Kang storyline without disregarding Loki seasons 1-2 and he knows how to write a compelling time travel story.

I liked the symmetry between this and the first Thor movie. The Bifrost was a large round structure over a void, attached to a long walkway. The temporal loom interface was a large round structure at the end of a long walkway. At the end of Thor, Loki falls from the shattered end of that walkway, purposeless and selfish. But this time he walked from the end of that shattered walkway, creating his own path. The design of the loom interface had to be an intentional nod to the Bifrost.

Crazy how things come full circle. I wasn’t a big Marvel fan at first, watched movies randomly and out of order until Infinity War hit theaters. I heard good things so I did a massive binge and watched literally everything up to that and went and saw it in theaters (on its last week, haha). I’ve followed since. But, the full circle moment comes from Loki. When he gets choked out and killed in Infinity War, as I watched Marvel in a theatre for the first time, I thought it was amazing. Fast forward to the end and I loved it. Marvel has their Empire Strikes Back film. Now I think this episode is right up there, the ending was insane, caught me in the perfect mood and I loved everything about it. What I realized for the first time writing this comment is that Loki was apart of my two favorite Marvel moments of all time, how poetic.

Perfectly written, perfectly executed! And an excellent example of its genres too! One element about Loki's self-sacrifice at the end is that HWR could have sacrificed himself by NOT sending the TVA manual back to a young Timely. But he wasn't prepared to wipe himself out of the timeline - wiping out himself and his own variants (rather than their entire timelines) would easily prevent the multiversal war. But Kang would never do that - Loki did.
@proximashining776
@proximashining776 Жыл бұрын
Not sending that TVA manual to young Victor Timely would not wipe out the other Kang variants, because they don't descend from Victor. Maybe some of them do, but the majority of them don't. But I'm sure there must be something else He Who Remains could have done differently. He just didn't bother to try to find another way, when he already had a functioning solution at hand (pruning all the branches).

The only thing I feel that's missing is a mention about how his chat with Sylvie about having the chance to die fighting was not only referring to the fight against He Who Remains but a bit of foreshadowing about the multiversal wars. Loki's version of the loom gives everyone a chance to live and have free will but it doesn't prevent incursions from happening and people will have to fight for their survival. Which I guess it's what we are going to see next in the MCU with Deadpool, Kang Dinasty and whatnot.

About Renslayer and Alioth: HWR said that he had won the Multiversal War thanks to weaponizing Alioth. At the same time, back in flashback that Miss Minutes showed to Renslayer, HWR thanked Renslayer and the TVA for choosing him. I think this was probably because Renslayer was the one who tamed Alioth and gave HWR the control of the beast, thus helping him win the Multiversal War. And now Renslayer is at the Void and she meets Alioth again, she will probably end up being the key for a Kang variant to win against other Kangs and become the Prime Kang.
