The first 2 episodes were incredible!!! I absolutely loved this season premiere kick-off! I wasn't born in the '90s but my father kept a bunch of VHS tapes with a lot of the old X-Men: The Animated Series episodes on them and I grew up rewatching those same episodes as a kid. The action was fantastic, and I'm really digging the new animation style for the show. I just binged the entire original series, and I gotta say that this is a significant step up in terms of animation quality, of course. All the characters are just as charismatic as they were in the previous series, if not even more so. Hearing some of the classic voices return for their roles in this Revival series is so heartwarming and nostalgic. I'm also really digging the new blood when it comes to the new additions to the voice cast. The new voices for Gambit, Scott Summers, and Jubilee specifically sound really great and worthy successors to the original voice actors. I'm really loving what they're setting up for the overarching story of the season. I can't wait to move on to the next batch of episodes as soon as they release. Everything feels like a significant step up to a lot of the great things from the original show and this is clear proof that the people who worked on the show are true X-Men fans in grew up watching the original animated series. Ultimately, though, this awesome premier batch of episodes really reminded me how much I missed the X-Men as a family. It's been awhile since I really delve into the world of the X-Men like this and honestly I'm glad the show came out to reunite the fire I have for the X-Men that's some of the old fox movies might have dampered a little bit. Marvel's/The MCU's first crack, the X-Men, was done masterfully, in my opinion, and I can't wait to see more! 10/10 Premiere for this show! 🎆✨️🙌

Cool breakdown! Just one thing: Scott’s concussive optic blast buffered his descent, not soften the ground as Ryan said. Plus his blasts emit energy but not enough to build radiant heat that’d turn the sand into glass (that’d be a Human Torch goes supernova kind-of thing).

The original voices that returned haven't lost a step even after nearly 30 years. The new voices are also welcomed as well. I loved the Sentinel fight. The classic banter between Scott and Logan. We have to speak on Capcom's influence on this show! The Mega Optic Blast Cyclops uses to decend to the ground (not saying he didn't do this prior to save himself and little brother when their fathers plane was attacked) is very reminiscent of the VS series of fighting games with the size and girth (pause) of the beam while descending. This also includes the scene everyone seems to love with him using his Optic Blasts to slide around and maneuver better. He has Optic Sweep as well as wave dashing in the game. I feel they incorporated all those things in a seamless way in the warehouse fight scene as if he were fighting the way he would in a video game. Then the team up attacks like Wolverine and Gambit, or Cyclops and Bishop. All similar to what goes down in Marvel vs Capcom with duel supers and assists. The producers of the show definitely played a little "MAHHVVELL" growing up 😂. I'm just waiting to hear Scott say "Cyclone Kick" or Wolverine say "Berserker Barrage".😂 Peak 90s greatness! The show does a great job of having Sunspot pronounce his name in a more accurate way, while also having the rest of the cast using the anglicized "Ro-Ber-to" pronunciation from classic comics. The way Cyclops slowed his descent with his optic blasts is a callback to his origin story where he and his brother Alex/Havok were thrown out of their parents' crippled airplane. When their chute didn't open, Scott used his optic blasts to slow their descent and, as a consequence, lost his ability to control the blasts and needed his ruby-quartz visor from then on. Also, his optic blasts are concussive force so they would not melt glass. This is the nerdiest thing I have ever written on-line and I now feel awful.

21:35 Val Cooper running on the treadmill during a meeting looks like a callback to the female US President working out on an exercise machine during a meeting where she orders to shut down the Sentinel program in “Night of the Sentinels”. That was such a random moment. 😂

& then depowered the next episode Well, it's canon & they went there. I hope we see a super badass Storm who becomes a fierce martial artist & then regain her Omega level powers in the last 2-3 episodes.

@Jumpoable I'll be excited to ser take on Cyclops for leadership, and also wonder how Forge might tie in. Will the XMen "die" fighting the Adversary??

Morph's pronouns are they them not He/his. Fun fact: most fans will get enraged about this, showing how they never really understood the message 😂

Scott's optic blast when he's falling from the sky isn't to soften the ground. He's using it to slow his fall so he can easily just drop to the ground. In his oner style fight earlier in the episode he used his blasts multiple times just to move around the room. The animation is so sick now. They absolutely nailed it

It would be awesome if all the 90’s animation characters showed up at one point silver surfer, spider man,F4,and whoever else

I love Cyclops’s new “opti-walk”? “optic shuffle”? move where he’s flying and sliding all around the room by optic blasting the ground and moonwalking lol. Such a cool thing I’ve never seen Cyclops do anywhere else! It’s such a cool and unique way of having him move, making him so much faster and badass!

I've been YEARNING for this Series ever since I learned it would happen... the first 2 episodes were AWESOME !!! Hope they Don't Let Us Down !!!

Brings back memories. I grew up on this type of cartoon. Also got fond memories of Spiderman and his amazing friends ( Firestar and Iceman were my favourites )

One thing I noticed is that when Jean used Cerebro, they played the Cerebro theme that was first introduced when Professor Xavier hooked up Gambit to it in the season one finale, “The Decision”. Also, it’s another interesting thing is that Dr. Cooper is the original Jean Grey, so when she says that Cyclops sounded like Xavier, it was pretty cool.

I absolutely loved how Cyclops used his optic beams to "skate" across the battlefield to dodge and put himself in better positions to fight.

I had such a big grin on my face watching that intro again. Then I went on and enjoyed the episode. My favorite part was the team fighting the sentinels. I watched that Silver Surfer show on Disney Plus. I was surprised how many cosmic MCU characters I recognized. 7:35 beautifully done.

How did everyone miss the callbacks to Cyke's origin story combined with his super move from Marvel vs Capcom Children of the Atom? Yes his descent was slowed, and yes he softened the ground. It was both. Crazy.

Cyclops firing blasts on the sand when he “freefalls” would not make sand into glass because his beams don’t release heat.. they are concussive in nature
@graydenday37608 ай бұрын
Do you know what could turn sand into glass? Lightning.

A curiosity that could be with Jubilee. It's just that she wasn't originally the plan to introduce her to Marvel, but her popularity made her stay. And he still rocks his classic nineties look.😘

27:33 Cyclop's beam is a concussive force beam. It is not a heat beam and therefore wouldn't cause enough or any heat to turn sand or silicates to glass.

At length, it's been stated that Cyclops' blasts are concussive. It's basically a laser punch. The only heat would come from friction
