Then Vegapunk’s ending is questioning why an ancient weapon should be used… and Franky’s Water 7 arc was his flashback with Tom learning that someone doesn’t deserve the blame for creating a weapon (mother flame compared to oro jacks compared to battle Franky) and then relates to carrying on the will of Tom and his predecessors to hide an ancient weapon (knowing that it may need to be used in the future). It’s crazy that Franky’s importance to this past arc goes at least two levels beyond the Vegapunk obsession! The Vegapunk plot is literally tied into Franky central character moments from his introductory arc

About the talk in 1:00:00 Oda did the same with Law, Law had the important part of his flashback in the manga and later Oda said how Law met Penguin, Shachi and Bepo in an SBS. In Kid's case it would be the opposite, he said how he met his crew in an SBS first and then he will tell the part of his past that matters most in the manga.

Theory: The chapter we see the Shanks lookalike character; him talking about a certain pirate; and the Elders attitude towards him, was all foreshadowing to the events of and after Egghead. 1) Shanks lookalike foreshadows Garling meeting with the Elders. 2) Talking about a certain pirate might have foreshadowed Luffy’s ascension after Egghead or the reveal that Joyboy was the First Pirate in history. 3) The elders attitude towards Garling is not the same, but both scenes had them feeling insulted by that character meeting with them (it’s like “they should know their place”).

For the kid pirates to survive there would have to have been a mistranslation because the one we got when he lost to Shanks said the kid pirates were destroyed, which means removed from existence. It's not wording that has been used previously as far as I can recall, the rest of the time people have lost it's been beaten, defeated, and even status unknown. If Luffy had any friend other than Ace, Uta breaks canon. Luffy told him "I don't have anybody else!" Luffy only knew Shanks for 1 year, between ages of 6 to 7; 12 years ago. There's no time to make lifelong great friends. One Piece doing a pop-star musical is super cool! I liked it a lot! I think Oda wants to do musicals, so that's cool. I think Film Red the best made One Piece movie, along with Baron Omatsuri and Strong World. But I understand people's dislike of the roll-call of characters, the canon-breaking events, and the overpowered powers. Hidden's dislike is kinda strong, against popular Japanese opinion. But, I''ve been a guitarist/songwriter for 30 years, and I'm a huge Ado and also a J-pop and Pop fan, so... Ado's a great singer, but Uta's overpowered devil fruit breaks canon. The devil fruit and Tot Musica's power can't be canon-compatible. Red is termed "canon-divergent" in interview. I think it was Oda's term, can't recall. Shiki is so overpowered, he can't be canon, if his powers are the same way he is in the movie.
