The Mask is actually a rated R character, he's insanely psychotic and violent but was watered down for the movie. He is a cartoon in the real world, his powers are Toon Force which is arguably the top power there is. He can alter reality to whatever he wants as long as he finds it funny. Toon Force is also what Bugs Bunny and such have. Basically to the Mask, the world is a cartoon but he's the writer and animator lol.

Cameron Diaz's first shot in a film has got to be one of the most amazing debuts. From the very first frame, she's a star.
@shadowstrider422 жыл бұрын
Spot on with the cartoon analogy. One of the mask's powers is literally called toon force, and it amounts to being able to do anything as long as the user finds it humorous in nature. The laws of physics, death, innocent bystanders and nearby objects are at the whim of the wielder... But... if it's humorous, hence the need to make everything a bit, skit, sketch, parody, or performance. At least this version, i have no knowledge of the darker versions of the mask the other commenters talk about.

I love the message the movie brings, which is very psychological. It's not enough to just be a nice guy, you have to find your inner desire, and bring it to life. Find you polar opposite and tame it. Stanley slowly adapted though that to the point where he wasn't a pushover, and didn't need the mask anymore. It's seen again in Milo, where he is normaly a loving dog, but put the mask and he becomes visious, but still loyal.
@mish3758 ай бұрын
Stanley had to realize that the Mask brought out his inner traits. He never needed the Mask because this was who he was deep down without the inhibitions. It wasn't until he finally accepted that that the Mask allowed him to let it go.
