What I don't like about this; it's that I can't connect an external microphone because that end of the phone is right against the holder. Am I wrong??

Just got mine....you moved your phone to landscape mode...mine will not do that. I have to move the big arm. Is there a button I need to push? I don't want to try and force it because I don't want to break it.
