Ratt and poison was my first real concert. My Dad had showed up and was waiting for me when I got home from school one day. I had this RATT t shirt that I tried to wear every day. It was faded with holes. My mom and I had been fighting about it because I refused to give it up. I loved RATT and my RATT shirt was part of my soul. Lol so I figured she called my dad to come talk to me about the shirt. I walked in and he said "lets go Dan. In the car NOW". As we drive off he said for not listening to my mom I was going with him to Spokane to help his friend move. I was pissed. We get to spokane and my Dad acts like the car died. Right by the Spokane colosseum. He looks up at the billboard and says "Ratt poison.... What the hell is that about?" Then he smiled and winked. I about wet my pants. I was in shock. Good thing I was wearing my trusty RATT shirt. I was about 11 or 12 years old. I am now 46. It was one of the best memories I have. Always will be. My Dad was in his late 20's I think. He is approaching 70 now. My parents were never together but my Dad was from a lost species of real men and stuck around anyway. Those guys are hard to find now. He would come over and rip me up when I started being a punk and when i was good he let me know too. RATT RULES. Even my Dad could see that. I forgot POISON was there too. Woops .
