because unlike sona taric, this duo is realy weak early, and if vit pushed their lead earlier fnc would have lost

One of the most common ways to beat it is "destroy botlane" and push your lead before its midgame arrives? btw: that is exactly why I mentioned LCS, it's a region especially well know for it's weak earlygame and the inability to snowball a lead out of hand

​@@wigglwiggl1992 kinda Early game they don't have all their abilities and Sona Taric can get deleted especially by in your face style champions and targeting specifically Sona 1st but that is hard as they both have heals, Sona has speed boost and so on so they are annoying to kill. It seems like Garen + Yumi is a bigger risk though because even if Sona + Taric fall behind by midgame they are both scaling into monsters by mid-late meanwhile this combo both champs don't really become that scary, 1 just becomes super tanky and the other annoying. I think Garen + Yumi depends more on who they are facing, like Volibear in this matchup could only run at them and try to flip them so they could easily escape but a Pyke support or similar style champion might just be a nightmare for them to face as he could just pull them back into the team.

Rekkles didn’t play Garen to carry he picked it to enable Hyli which he definitely did! I’m not sure what Vitality coulda done if that had never seen the Garen/Yuumi or weren’t expecting it
