damn, am I the only one who thinks its a little sad that Lor had to put soooo many disclaimers at the beginning about Tyler just being there? I'm sure she had to do it because she's probably gotten shit in the past so I don't blame her. I just think it's a little annoying that some people can't go "i personally don't like Tyler" and then just... not click on the video. Sometimes you just don't vibe with a specific person and that's okay. Doesn't mean Lor can't be friends with her or do collabs with her. Anyway, loved the video

If you're going to layer petticoats or wear a heavy underskirt, wear a corset with hip gores or padding. It keeps the pressure off of your waist and hips (if properly fitted). Just a tip!
@nunyabusiness1642 жыл бұрын
YES!!! Sure, stays and corsets can cinch the waist, but the boning/stiffness also protects the soft flesh of the abdomen from petticoat and skirt-induced ouches. As far as I'm concerned, 18th century ladies had clothes figured out: linen shift, stays, then petticoats/padding/structure. Comfy on the inside, fashion on the outside. As it should be.... especially if air conditioning doesn't exist yet.

@Olive Basically, there's a lot of people who are really into history and they do their best to be as accurate as possible in their clothing, down to their undergarments and what hairties or makeup they use. So it becomes very jarring for these people when others are very uninformed. Those who just genuinely dress up are not the problem, the ones who don't get that they are wearing something inaccurate while believing the opposite are the ones that upset people. Basically the same as with lolita fashion.

I can't remember how I first encountered Tyler, but after watching one LWLN episode, with salty takedowns of the latest releases, followed by the latest scandal which (of course) "started in RuffleChat", I was hooked. I'd never realised before a cute, frilly fashion could attract such controversy - and, of course, the visual dissonance between Tyler's outfits and delivery style (including the gravity-defying leans to camera, which, sadly, can't take place any more since she's bought The Desk) made her appeal even more. More recently, the wonders of Frock Talk, intermittently describing all the adorable features of one of her dresses, getting her boyfriend to point out bits she's missed, insulting bits of the US / world, and exchanging death threats with him. And, of course, the "Man vs Kawaii" special, where she realised he's paid far more attention to her preferred fashion than she thought.
