YES. Your idea for this series is exactly what I was looking for over a year ago (I've been learning for two years now 😯), when I was just starting to find my way around the language and realised how important prefixes are. I actually started searching for recurring prefixes in the dictionary in case they turned up on their own as prepositions - as some of them do. роз- isn't one of them, so I looked up the meaning of as many words as possible beginning with роз-, to try and get an instinctive sense of the meaning it adds to a root word. In this video, you confirmed my gut feeling about it while helping me to *develop* a more structured knowledge of this prefix, and introducing me to some really interesting verbs 😊 I had already come across розповідати / розповісти, and also розмішувати (I watch lots of cooking videos); and these two are nouns rather than verbs but I'm quite familiar with розмінування (sadly - I wish I didn't know this word and certainly not its opposite) and розпаковка because I follow a military blogger who sometimes posts unpacking videos. In short: thanks! Always nice to see you, I look forward to the next prefix. You brilliant teacher 😊 💙💛

I must tell you how useful this video is. I downloaded it to watch while at my position, and I watched it multiple times. So, one day my побратим was telling me about a shell (снаряд) that didn't quite work as planned. He used the word розбити, which I had not heard before, but thanks to this video, I could figure it out! Thank you from the front!

Thank you for your newest lecture, Olya. You are such a good teacher. It is so easy to listen to you, such a pleasant and calm moment while learning this extremely difficult language. 😅 I think any crazy idea is marvelous, BUT your idea of topic series is fantastic. You can record them in one day and upload them here separated spread for longer period. That way your content will became more consistent and it will give you more subscrs and more money. Good idea ! Stay safe. Дуже дякую

I think this verb is cool because it seems like most of the meanings have to do with taking something apart (e.g. unpacking a suitcase), but if you are talking about a fire, it means to build and start it: Коли чорні хмари сонце закривають//Я ватру розкладаю (Zwyntar) When black clouds block the sun, I build a bonfire

Привіт. У мене є питання: без префіксів, чи ці слова ще справді слова але мають різні значення?

Привіт. Так, дещо інші значення.

Maybe I missed it, but why is розумію not included in this list? It's the main one I use that has the prefix роз- but it doesn't seem to fit these categories. Дякую!

Good question! In розуміти, розум is a root, and there is no prefix. Just a coincidence

Яка блискуча ідея - можливо, за допомогою майбутніх префіксів ви зможете додавати іменники та прикметники, а не лише дієслова.
@Anton_Danylchenko6 ай бұрын
Саме так. Цей префікс може вживатись і для іменників, прикметників, прислівників, дієприкметникв і дієприслівників. Це була б гарна ідея для окремого відео - показати як можна творити різні частини мови з таким префіксом.
@LetsLearnUkrainian6 ай бұрын
Дякую! Так, звичайно. Чомусь у цьому відео я лише на дієсловах вирішила зосередитися, але так, це працює і для іменників та прикметників також!
