Im actually crying right now... I just played Zelda BotW and found the lon lon ranch and put on this song. Oh my god ... same. I understand you so well. This music also reminds me of those long hours of play in the evening after the meal with my father and my brother. Memories that get older and older over time, but which will forever remain engraved in my heart. I miss those moments terribly and knowing that they will never happen again is killing me. I will give anything to live them again.

I run a homebrew dungeons and dragons campaign online with a bunch of my friends, and 100% of the music I use for my game is from various video games. The party ended up visiting the home of a friendly NPC, a lowly farm boy who caught the eye of a goddess, and became a fellow adventurer. This was the theme that played at his home. One of my players cried when she heard it.

@@luischavez1701 Zelda has recurring themes like Beedle being a merchant in several games that were usually hundreds of years apart. So I don't think it's far-fetched to assume that BoTW Link could've had his own Epona in Lon Lon Ranch. Personally, I think this is the reason why we can't get Epona normally in the game because she's already dead either by being killed or by old age. But who knows. Maybe Lon Lon Ranch in BoTW is just a reference for veteran Zelda players.

I was born in '91. I own the 3D remakes. I also ocassionally replay the N64 ones here and again. Ocarina of Time is one of those games that really made the magic of video games apparent to me.

Link the Hero of Time had it hard. Orphaned, an outsider to his friends, thrust into events beyond his control, robbed of his childhood, by virtue of his success never receives recognition as a hero, and presumably dies on the field of battle where his remains are denied proper burial. But he did marry Malon. We should all be so lucky.

guys xD the hyrule symphony did this for the 100th anniversary of the making of the first zelda game, they did a whole bunch of orchestra remakes of differenet zelda games like windwaker, oot, etc. the common themes like the overworld theme in zelda I, etc. look it up on the web and youtube, not to down on you aaron jeffers, you uploaded a great video ^_^ thanks
