We decided that for our first 'Action Film' to go with something a bit different. So here's Daniel moving around London set to Boléro by Maurice Ravel.
It took 3 weeks, we drove over 4,000 miles and visited 8 countries but we did it! Daniel Ilabaca travelled across Europe to meet Parkour and Freerunning communities in London, Amsterdam, Cologne, Copenhagen, Vienna, Milan, Barcelona and Paris.
In each city we met and trained with the locals, did a bit of filming and then ended the day with a massive jam.
We filmed every step of the journey and over the next few months we'll be showing you what happened.
And all this happened because the nice people behind 'Brink' supported us. Check out Brink at www.brinkthegame.com

Produced and directed by Stephen Follows (www.stephenfollows.com)
Camera by James Barber and Scott Bass
Edited by Francesco Caradonna
The tour was created and filmed by Catsnake (www.catsnake.com)

this video shows so much of why I love parkour. You run around the city, having a blast, like a little kid while the rest of people watch baffled as they go about their boring lives:)

Great stuff, great movement and atmosphere. Interesting music choice, and editing experiences. Anyway, as everyone said, I woul love to see an "alternative edit" with the complete footage, uncut before the end of each and every jump. My opinion. -Naïm-

@ToRReSMedia Kind of - 550D's do 30fps at 1080p but 60fps at 720p. We shot it all at 720p (60fps) just in case we needed the slow-mo for something Daniel pulled out of the bag unexpectedly. And it really paid off. Just wait until you see the Cologne film next week....

@PKCrusade It depends what you want. The 60fps means you can have smooth slow-motion (half speed by taking it down to 30fps in post production) whereas the1080p is larger resolution so you can deliver at 1080 or do things like fake zooms and deliver at 720).

Definitely, definitely agree with MaxRunham's comment. The camera work and movement were all beast, shame the edit let it down, half the time you cut the clip before the movement had actually finished, or only showed tiny portions of the whole sequence. I'd like it uploaded again, edited differently.

I dont doubt that their heart was in the right place....the footage looked great, but when someone is trying something new then they should also be ready to accept any kind of criticism, good or bad...All that people are asking for is to be able to see a little more of Daniels control...I don't want any one to re edit this piece it's great as is...but for future vids hold the shot a little longer thats all we are asking for...thanks

Parkour traces back to George Hérberts teachings, Raymond Belle, and the Yamakasi which David trained with for over a decade. And no, it was not based on doing crazy stunts. it started with play but became certain methods of training with certain principles. It was certainly not just about ''having fun''. It is based on a very brutal training method.

Great video but I don't think the clips should have been cut so short. It works great when you have fast action but not with slow mo. It just kinda teases you by not letting you see the whole thing.
