I spend every July in Oxford. I’ve learned layers, and a muted, interchangeable color palate are my best friends. The temps range from 90s to 60s. And very sensible walking shoes that are waterproof! Your ideas are perfect.

I agree with the spring weather in London. When I went I was cold the whole time. Even with the sun out it felt damp and cold. I came down with a horrible cold. But London was beautiful. Loved the history, the theater and shopping. I'm hoping my trip to Paris and river cruise in May will be warmer. Still putting together my capsule wardrobe for two weeks in France 😊

Spent a week there during the anniversary of HLMTQ’s passing. We had perfect, if fairly hot weather so no layering at all. I spent MONTHS planning my London ensembles and ended up buying things on Amazon or at Marks and Spencer’s just to handle the heat. I purchased so many items to look quintessentially London-y, but in spite of not wearing most items, we still had a magnificent trip. I am so hoping you stayed at The Stafford. They are in the absolute heart of London, tucked back away from traffic, but close to the Tube and all of the attractions you’d wish to tour. Probably the best week of my life was spent there. We are doing a 3 week France, Germany and Austria trip this September so have definitely subscribed and already purchased some of the items from a few of your videos that I am planning on wearing.

I would say to check the weather right before you go… And the humidity. London is definitely a wet, humid cold. And have a fabulous trip!

Instead of cashmere turtlenecks I would bring crew neck sweaters and a scarf or two to keep your neck warm while adding visual interest.

I am from the southern U.S. visiting London and the UK in June with a 9-day package tour. Will it be lighter clothing from this video or about the same? ALSO, I have to take my hairdryer due to my style needing volume and spray, what type of converter/adapter is best to buy for this? Many are not for heat type devices. I definitely think you’ll need a little bit lighter clothing. But as always, check the weather before you go. And I’m not sure about the converter devices!

Thank you - I am a nervous wreck anticipating the long flight, ugh! I have a "calming" pill - going to see my birthplace, Ruislip, my dad was in the USAF there for 3 years, I was a baby when they came back to the U.S. so I have no recollection and have never left the U.S. until now. I have the address on my birth certificate for where they lived and will take an Uber there for pictures of the home, hope they're friendly if they see me snapping pics! 🤣

Apricot. I don’t know why Amazon does that, but light beige or ivory is called “Apricot” on almost all Amazon post. So weird!
