Hard to believe i ran this all those years ago looking back from 2022

To anyone like me who's running this year there is nothing but this race...nothing else exists, there is nothing else going on in the world. If you're reading this and watched this first race all those years ago and wandered what it would be like, just like me, may goddess Nike carry you swifly to your victory without hindrance.

I ran in this race. Did 3 hours 6 minutes.

Eileen Bartlett, you do yourself a disservice. You actually finished in 3:04:40 in 1510 th place. I can't find female specific results but I believe only a dozen or so women would have finished ahead of you. I came 1992 nd in 3:13:55. Other than the days on which my children were born, the best day of my life.

Check out the sideburns at 1:40! That guy deserves a medal just for having the balls to be seen in public looking like that.

That's JPR Williams - one of the best Rugby players who represented Wales and The British and Irish Lions in the late 60's-early 80's. He is a qualified surgeon.

18:15 I recognise the Blue Bridge in Docklands - Do they go over this bridge nowadays? I'm sure they wouldn't allow traffic to cross the bridge at the same time as the runners these days!! P.S Which is the bridge at 19:00?
@Gallywomack2 күн бұрын
I think the bridge at 19:00 is the Bascule bridge over the entrance to Shadwell basin. maps.app.goo.gl/4RCdjYAwvrYdmyxn9 It looks like a lot of the surrounding buildings have been demolished in the intervening years! Pretty sure the whole route is traffic free nowadays.

Anyone know what time Madge Sharples ran? Apparently she stopped for tea half way around.
@patcom10136 жыл бұрын
She still hasn't finished, we're waiting on her any minute now.
@joshhodkinson96775 жыл бұрын
Madge Sharples was actually Paula Radcliffe who had travelled back in time from the future.
