Had to chime back in ! I will admit that those BMW bikes are the best I've seen !

I’m really impressed with the look of the new F900GS ( if you couldn’t tell…!) I think the styling is really sharp on the front end and it looks like it will be great fun both off road and in the twisties!

I love the Norton commando. Beautiful bike with lovely torquey motor and top rate handling.

Make a over engineered engine with bigger main bearings, beefed up crankshaft with bigger diameter big ends, simpler and more basic suspension, brakes, electrics maybe with nissin brake calipers, single rotor and showa forks. Also no carbon fibre as its pricey and put on grease nipples like on the old bikes making them simple to maintain and very reliable. An oil cooler and a rugged adventure type suspension, wide bars and good seat like on the fastback with 2 into 1 exhaust would be great. A sort of flat tracker look, light and basic. It could well be the best looking and sounding bike out there, practical like the old yamaha XS650 but better. Norton are a maker known for having a Vincent type name, the jaguar of bikes.

I’ve rode the commando 961 twice and loved it - definitely a bucket list experience to ride! It is the quintessential modern classic!
@rick.cutler9 ай бұрын
I think if Norton did a modern take of a flat tracker it would be absolutely beautiful! I agree, throw a gnarly engine in with a view to making a rival to Triumphs Scrambler XC1200, but that Norton style would be sold out faster than they could produce them

Greetings, As always another brilliant detailed video 🇺🇸🍾🎉🇺🇸 Thank you so much for the camera close up on the motorcycle features. Keep producing more videos.

Glad you enjoyed it! There’s more shows coming for 2024, not all manufacturers attend every show so there will be different bikes featured in the next video!

Thank you brother. I appreciate your patience and efforts of posting a 1 hr video. I liked it very much. In Yamaha section if you could have covered the new mt09 then it could have been a plus. I think the bike might not be available at the time of video. Keep growing and keep posting such nice video. ❤ from india

Thanks so much for the feedback! I did actually get footage of the new MT-09 and SP which I held back to do another shorter video of the walk round the Yamaha stand - that will be coming soon!

Some of these new bikes, you would need to be a Company director, or someone similarly financially placed to own one. Beautiful machines but way over priced! They are what I would call “Dream Fodder”!!

You guys are lucky, you still get a show. The industry has given up on us out here in the US. No shows for the past 2 years at least in California.
@rick.cutler9 ай бұрын
Wow!! I did not know that! I would have thought there would be more shows like this out in the states - especially on the west coast! There’s a few more shows across the year over here, what brands or bikes are you interested in and I’ll try to keep my eyes peeled for the next event!

Its sad triumph dropped the thunderbird 1700 from the range. I prefer it to the rocket 3.
@rick.cutler9 ай бұрын
Yeah the Thunderbird plugged the gap between the Speed Twins classic lines and the Rocket 3’s roadster stance. I feel like there wasn’t a need to create that disconnect between the models by retiring the Thunderbird - unfortunately I think that it may have suffered from lower sales rates, and maybe that Triumph wanted to distance themselves from the dying “American cruiser” look and focus on their “British style” image. Thoughts?

And Honda?
@rick.cutler6 ай бұрын
Unfortunately not every brand wants to show up to every event… if my memory serves me correctly, Honda was only represented by 3 fireblades with a small backdrop. There was no stand, nor representatives from Honda to engage with the public. As a Honda fan I was disappointed too!

Not a fan of that Adidas stripes on Norton bikes. Makes the otherwise beautiful design very busy on the eyes unnecessarily.

What bikes would you like to see next time? 😎
@midcoastmoto8 ай бұрын
Thanks for the video! want to comment regarding the HD, the lowrider/ST is nothing close to the touring models (baggers) that are raced in the US. It is not even considered a "bagger" it is a soft tail cruiser that HD put bags and a fairing on to copy the West Coast trend of older motocross guys that have been rebuilding the iconic HD-FXR. Road King, Street Glide and Road Glide (raced in bagger leaque) are what we really consider "baggers". Also all HD models are M8's that is the current "MILWAUKEE EIGHT" current generation of motor. MILWAUKEE- home of Harley, EIGHT -8 valves. To the tons of HD guys and gals in the UK that support HD, @bobheaduk thank you!
@rick.cutler8 ай бұрын
Nice! Really appreciate the knowledge on these bikes, there’s still a strong following for HD in the UK - we want to see the brand continue into the future with the next generations 😎👍

Major fail in his walkabouts for instance does NOT show close up of the technical + price information boards for each bike on display, to much shaking of camera with his sometimes quick walk around of bikes and therefore needs either an iPhone or say a DJI Action video camera which both have good image stabilisation, fails to pan out camera before approaching each manufacturer & custom builder section. Also, does NOT ask questions of the bike manufacturer representatives to get more insight in some of the bikes. Conclusion, I wish Peter Von Gromm did a UK motorcycle show video of it instead, as his videos of Japanese motorcycle shows are excellent & very informative too.
