Great video mate. My favourite layout of the show was definitely Hope Under Dinmore. I have such a soft spot for those grander looking older locos on the layouts

It was a spectacular looking layout! I was sad I didn't get more footage of it to be honest but they seemed to be running a rather sparse timetable. Thanks for watching 😃

Just got back home from the Sunday opening. Fantastic day with these wonderful layouts....Along with a lot of stuff I couldn't afford to buy. XD

Yeah lots of great layouts to see! I tend not to go too near all the traders for fear of coming away with a severely lighter wallet 😅 Thanks for watching 👍

@@ThatModelRailwayGuy good job! I have a bad habit of going to traders at shows… then £££ later 🤣

My pleasure and likewise! Hopefully not too long now before there's news on the next series. Thanks for watching 😃

Thanks for the tour! Since I’m on the other side of the world I couldn’t really make it 😂 I hope I’ll be able to come one day though! I find British locomotives far more interesting and definitely more pleasing to the eye than our plan black locomotives here in North America. That being said, I don’t dislike our locos by any means, and I liked seeing the US narrow mining railroad, reminds me a lot of a layout at one of my local exhibitions! I really liked all the other layouts as well! The stand-out for me was definitely the OO9 layout with Talyllyn and the Fairlie!

If you set off now you might arrive in time for the next one 😉 In all seriousness though, I'm really glad you enjoyed the video. It's nice to be able to present a snapshot of the show for those who can't attend. It's interesting what you say about British locos being more interesting. I've always felt that we've had more variety in our locos... but I always assumed that was because I was more familiar with British locos and that someone form abroad would have trouble distinguishing between a Terrier and a 9F! The 009 was good - I'm sad I couldn't get more footage of it to be honest but it had a crowd round it all day and it wasn't the biggest layout on display! Thanks for watching 👍

@@ThatModelRailwayGuy 😂 I don’t think I’ll be able to do that as I haven’t asked for time off work yet 🤣. Yeah honestly I’ve always had an easier time telling British stuff apart from other stuff! Thanks for the reply!

That narrow gauge slate railway layout is really impressive. Ever since watching the suitcase build on this channel I've gotten really interested in the idea of doing an O09 layout in the future.
@ThatModelRailwayGuy9 ай бұрын
Yeah it definitely stood out! I think the suitcase layout inspired a lot of people since it showed what you can achieve in a small space with 009 while still using the vast range of existing 4mm products on the market. Thanks for watching 😃

It would be useful for the layouts to be named.

That looked like a really fun show with lots to see. Her in America the train shows are fun but the ones I have gotten to go to don't have as many layouts to see. I love the the British engines they are elegant and the colors are awesome. Thanks for sharing this show with us. GOD BLESS 🚂💖🚂💖🚂💖🚂💖🚂💖🚂💖🚂💖🚂💖🚂💖

The amazing thing is that this was only a small selection of some of the layouts on display - I couldn't get near to some of them because the crowds were so deep! Thanks for watching 😃

Glad you got to go too mate. Funnily enough, my favourites were all very small layouts, including the long thin layout that depicted the test-track depot with all the unusual prototype vehicles that are all lovingly created by a chap called Mark that I follow online and there was also a brilliant small EM shunting layout with a run-round loop which was so simple but my goodness it looked just right from every angle! 😎 I also rather liked the layout run by two old fellas in the main hall where they created a driver’s cab to drive the trains, including PA announcements and commas between the driver and the signaller 🤓 So much to see though so if I still lived in London I’d have definitely got a two-day pass! Really did run out of time, though in truth I was knackered at the end of it! And I might have bought one or two things 🙄 Are you going to the Birmingham show in April? 😉👍🍀🍻
@ThatModelRailwayGuy9 ай бұрын
Yeah I do feel there's always a lot of variety at this show and a lot of stuff that we don't normally see! I probably won't be at the NEC show April but possibly the one in November that replaces the Warley show. But it's a quite a long journey for me so I'll have to see. Thanks for watching 😃

Is it just my device or does every 3 seconds does the frame rate stutter or skip?
@ThatModelRailwayGuy9 ай бұрын
It's not happening for me and I think I would have noticed that while editing. There's the odd occasional stutter in some shots where stabilisation has been used which is partly a limitation on the camera I use for filming these exhibitions - but it's pretty minimal and you'd have to be really looking to notice it. Thanks for watching 😃

Great video of the show but I have just one complaint and that it would be good if you could get a shot of the layout name and gauge. The layouts are just a dream to watch and I enjoy all of your videos of shows and your layout.
