There’s really something about the vibe of classic British shows...

Yeah. They were shot on beautiful grainy film with no digital ‘pristine’ equipment in sight.

Some fog and mist, definitely a bad time to have an RTA on the motorway, I am sure the man should have called the police and the fire brigade
@eddief325 ай бұрын
If you call 999 and tell them there's been a major RTA, usually they'll put you through to the Police first - the police will always request whatever additional services are needed once they're on route to the incident.

Indeed, they use the same siren for Jupiter and the ones on the old ambulances

Whilst Londons Burning wasn't 100% accurate, this particular episode was quite topical. I remember there were a few high profile incidents where, due to poor fire standards, cars were burning their occupants alive and crash safety was barely becoming a thought. Crash tests of a car crashing into a flat wall at 30mph were considered highly unrealistic. Nick's speech at a following gala dinner cussing the motor industry, some of the crowd featuring car dealers, some time after the incident was cutting. "...our cars are killing us..."

@@rhysrobertstransportationa1668 no it's nothing like London's burning. When u go into a fire it's black and u can't see your hand in front of you however in London's burning to u can see everything in the room lol lol lol. And when we finish work it's rare that we go put together.

@@damonk3674 Well I get what you're saying and London's burning did somewhat bend realiism when filming in fires, be pointless if each time a firefighter scene is shot in complete darkness, but London's Burning did show them training in BA sets and using touch and feel method to get about and the actors before filming would go to Southwark to get a crash course for 2 weeks. The LFB did help with the making of the show. But of course they over dramatized to for TV, it might not have been 100% accurate to real life, but it was 10x better then Sky one's take on firefighter show called The Smoke, that had no help from the LFB who read the script and refused to help! The fire station was a office building and in a emergency would walk downstairs as apparently it was quicker then using a pole, the station officer was mentally unfit to lead after having his privates areas burnt off in a shout and in the very first episode flashed an entire room and his area commander to show of his injuries but yet kept his job to the last episode until he nicked a pump and drove to southend to swim in the sea! So compared to that London's Burning was a masterpiece
