I am British and I have no intention of ever visiting my capital city, I don't even recognise it as British and feel so bad for tourists who want to go there to see British culture.

About friendship this is so true! I didn’t think that in London this problem too exists. Friendship takes time and efforts from both sides. But when people choose all the time (if smth didn’t work out from the 1st time) to run… that’s sad bc leads to no strong relationships.

Pro Tip = if you want to experience 'modern' London ... go to Hyderabad, Mumbai, New Delhi, or Kabul ... you will get the same 'cultural enrichment' at 10-20% of the cost

London is the worst city I've ever lived in. I've lived in London, Rome, Madrid, Moscow and Athens and London was by far the most dismal, depressing and flat out gross city I have ever stepped foot in.

I used to work in Southend now I work in Stratford hybrid working patten. I've noticed the things you mention in terms of relaltionships . I don't particularly feel part close in terms of the relationships becasue I live over forty Miles a way.

Interesting observation. Essentially you are complaining about paradox of choice in London.

It has so many things you can’t afford to do. You pay two grand a month to live in a shoebox and watch Netflix year-round.

To be fair, most of these are true for metros around the world. Perhaps, the city has more to offer in terms of cultural and social experiences than other metros. Glad I'm not the only one who finds it weird that you are supposed to act normal with people who ghosted you after going out with you for months.

I dont understand why you dont help out your country instead ? It was England that taught poland culture and given you opportunities. You should take this forward

England taught Poland culture? That's not just false, it's staggeringly arrogant.
